We met a super amazing guy on our first trip - he lost both his legs but not his sense of adventure. He either wore his prosthesis or was very rarely in a wheel chair. It looked to me like he didn't miss anything, was the life of the party and ruled the swim up bar. The only issue I'd think about is getting a ground floor room for comfort.
Wow! Thanks for all your comments and support! Definitely the TTR crowd is THE CROWD. I'm gonna start convincing my friend to cone with us next june and hopefully we'll meet some of you there. Merry Christmas!!
No worries at all! Everybody is extremely accepting...........and if thery aren't.......they usually hand by themselves no where near the party!
We've met all kinds of people at TTR, and all of them are missing something, just sayin'! With most of them, it's some of their marbles of course, but with others it's as stated above. If he was a party animal, then he'll get treated as if he IS a party animal, done!a
A few years ago while at Temptation we met a Canadian soldier and his wife. They partied every night with everybody there. This soldier lost his leg in Afghanistan and did not stop him at all, you would see him by the pool everyday, sometimes with his wheelchair so he could rest and every night he had his prosthetic leg and partied at the patio 'O". He was not judge nor threated differently.
I would invite them if I were you. Best place to recuperate and get back into life. People want to party and forget their problems. They will fit right in!
I might or might not party with a one legged guy. Hard to say without knowing him. Would depend on if he was fun or not much more than whether or not he was missing a leg. If he's fun, he's in.
He would definitely fit in just as soon as the doors slide open... tough part is convincing him to come in the first place, but I´m working on it. Still have 6 more months to work it out and for him to get used to the idea of losing his leg. Have told him about TTR and that lightens him up and brings him in a good mood, he questions me a lot about it and your input and welcoming messages have helped him a lot. Thanks again!
