That's brilliant !!...your getting to recognise the vibe at TTR, yes you can do what ever you want.....if there's time, but there is so much going on you'll have a blast and I suspect never even think about a book !!. Don't forget, Steve might have a library on his cruises but I've never seen a library....anybody seen one ????? :mnm:

What can I say, to date we've only done trips of 14 days. The first seven I'm down at the pool partying with everyone else, then on day eight I turn into an OAP and can't tolerate another "Whoohooo who is from Canada, USA, England, Mexico??" dialogue, and the music is way too loud (no I'm not joking). So I head on over to the Quiet Pool with my kindle, lay out on a lounger with a drink and read some books! I don't have time at home so it's nice to just stop and do nothing. Then I'm refreshed and ready to party it up at Paty O in the night.

If you plan to spend your entire stay at the Sexy Pool, then reading is not an option. Much more fun stuff to watch! If you need down time like me, I'd suggest going for a kindle or similar as I've yet to see a real book at TTR for a book swap. Maybe they have bibles in the room? I prefer real books too but it's so much easier on vacation just to pack the single kindle loaded with hundreds of books for me to choose!

I pack a book or two...and a litre of rye whiskey

I find I can't see the darn screen on a Kindle due to glaire and...for some reason...I feel like a perv reading from an Ipad (probably because it has the camera and I feel like I am pointing it)

The book is for days I want to veg ... the whiskey for days I want to play

...so lay off on us nerds who still read a few books a week ...its one of our simple pleasures ...( in between the other sessions of doing stupid stuff)

The only problem with a library at TTR ...would be trying to figure out why the pages were wet...or stuck together ...was it rain, dampness from the room... spilled drink .... or something with DNA in it

Now that I think about it... we should come up with the most outrageous covers or titles...just to see who notices
1- Anal sex for beginners ...
2- My wife and her Boyfriend ...learning to share
    3- etc etc

    ...just saying

The room with the pool tables has a few on a ledge. I love to read but didn't find any from their poor selection. Maybe we should make it a tradition to leave our books there before heading home. Despite the noise and hoopla of the sexy pool, I liked to read and watch the action at the sexy pool. Made it easier to survive the constant stimulation of that area.

I read every day around the pool or the beach...we party hard and always end the night between 3 and 4 am at the sports pool. We tend to nurse a drink here and there during the days mostly. I bring about 10 books for the trip and usually read them all between the flights, airport and the resort.

We have a very generous luggage allowance, 2 suitcases each, but there doesn't seem to be much going on in the way of themed nights, when we are there, 22 Jan through 2nd Feb :(

    Thank you Donald,
I have seen that. I guess I was hoping for more of a fancy dress guide, rather than colour schemes. We should have booked in April and I could have worn my Bunny costume !!
How will my suede boots fare in the humidity? I don't want them to go mouldy!!:mnm:
