Source = CNN "Wednesday's announcement that the U.S. will move toward restoring diplomatic ties with Cuba will also make it easier for Americans to travel to Cuba and do business with the Cuban people by extending general licenses, officials said. While the more liberal travel restrictions won't allow for tourism, they will permit greater American travel to the island." Perhaps just wishful thinking on the OP's part.
Not sure why this is on the TTR page. seems there are other forums on this site for this. travel to Cuba has never been a problem for us and we never felt a need to rejoice about it. in fact we choose to go to Cancun and TTR and come on this page to satisfy our yearning.
Canadians aren't restricted from Cuba. Cuba isn't nice. It's where you go when you can't afford anything nice.
A lot of my friends have gone to Cuba through Canada. You're not supposed to go as an American citizen but many have gone without any hassles.
We know many folks from other countries that have vacationed in Cuba.... Prices have been extremely reasonable.
