Just review the themes for your time their and pack accordingly. Remember no one knows and no one gives a shit.
Accessories will go a long way for themes. Go to the dollar shop or party store and get hats, reindeer antlers, new years stuff, headbands, glasses, beads, glow sticks, bling and there will be so many costume parts that you'll figure it out. Some holiday themed boxers/briefs or strategically placed mistletoe too
The biggest mistake guys make is thinking that the girls should do all the work and the guys don't/can't do much. Do something. Anything. Try to look awesome/funny/dorky/sexy, whatever. But you have to stick out and look like you tried and that you're fun. Otherwise you'll be the wallflower and girls won't have an opening line when you go talk to them. Need to give them something to talk about and wearing plain stuff doesn't do it. Try.
