Where can we find a nice refreshing margarita in Cancun? We are looking for something fresh squeezed with some good tequila in it. Maybe even close to cancun? We didn't leave TTR last April, but we do plan to check it out next year...
Good plan if you can make it thru #6 or 7. Some of the bartenders can make pretty good ones, and others struggle. We usually buy a bottle of Grandma to put behind the bar, which really helps out the margaritas.
The other cool thing about La Parilla is watching the server balance the margaritas while they are serving them. :soccer:
I don't think we've ever had what we'd call a "Good" margarita in Cancun... never run across a bartender in Mexico who really made a good one. Had a great one in Paris, though, but guess where she was from? French girl, born outside Paris, but Daddy moved to San Diego when she was 2, and moved back when she was 23 as a bartender. Great margarita she made. Parisians didn't know the treasure they had! But, Cancun, not so much IMO. Maybe you can find one?
Margaritaville does a pretty decent one. It's at the end of an old shopping center on the main highway in the hotel zone. Here's the address: Blvd Kukulkan Km 11, 77500 Benito Juárez, QROO, Mexico
Does a place called "Margaritaville" count? Jimmy Buffet's line of eateries? I suppose they had BETTER have a decent 'rita, right? Never even thought of there...
all the right ingredients are at the bars I can make a Damn good margarita I showed the guy at the sports bar one night. he did good for awile and went back to his habits you can never get the same tasting drink twice. It helps to find a premire guest to get the top shelf Booze
Even with the premier staff making margaritas it's really hit or miss. I had the worst tasting margarita ever made by one of the premier staff. The only drink I have ever dumped out because it tasted so bad. Every bar tender at the resort will make a margarita different.
