Living on Lake Michigan in the winter is always a challenge. Replaced the windshield wipers today due to all the winter storm warnings. Nightly news is full of stories about white outs, slide offs and crashes! Right now can't see 50 yards across the water. It is humorous to see boats still in their slips being buried in snow. Hope to get a break before heading for the airport Wednesday to fly out on Thursday morning! Can't wait to trade my snow shovel for a drink at the Sexy Pool and Patty O's.
We got 6 inches of snow today and winter storm warning for Wednesday cant wait to get to TTR on Saturday!! :daveandmo:
Can't wait for all of us to escape the cold and snow! If you get all the weather we are receiving tonight make sure to leave for the airport early. It is more like the middle of January than November! Made a quick trip to a local pub for dinner. Fortunately, we were the only crazy people out on the road. The drive home was one continuous whiteout. We are keeping our smiles only because TTR is in our future on Thursday!
Chance of snow for us tomorrow with 80 degree weather predicted on Wednesday... in Cancun of course! One more lunch here tomorrow, then the next lunch will be in Cancun!!!
Oh man, on our recent flight down we were seated in the same row or behind a group of 4 cute solo (single and married) ladies obviously on a Cancun girls getaway. Probably a golfing trip, right? They were boozing it up and conversation ensued with Ms SkiBum revealing our destination. I resisted the urge to suggest they change their travel plans and join us. Hell, we had a king-size bed! As we collected our luggage from the carousel the two friendliest of them gave us a smile and said, "Have fun and behave yourselves.". I don't know what made them laugh more, my reply or the way I grabbed Ms SkiBum's ass as we walked away. "You're joking, right? Do you ladies really think we're the type of couple who would misbehave?". I should have opened my carry-on bag, that may have tipped the scales for them.
