I think the bars around the bullring would be the best idea, more local and less touristy. All you'd need would be to arrange some transport that I can fix up, $55 round trip I think, 10 or 12 people per van it would only be $5 each.
Haha!! We won't be there in June due to work commitments unfortunately so went for Octoberfest/Halloween instead. We've paid deposit now on TTR so its a go! We can't wait! This Zombie night sounds awesome too! I look forward to the rest of the theme night discussions, and of course the trip itself to meet the rest of the Hotties & Hellraisers! #Sophie
A few other points. You'd need to do this on a Friday or Saturday if going to the bullring area, it's fairly quiet the rest of the week. Chinos lives 10mins walk from the bullring so I am sure would make an appearance, especially if you were raising funds for his charity. Instead of round trip transfer maybe consider one way for $35 (shared between 10 or 12). It's difficult to round people up at a certain time after a night out drinking, some may want to go earlier, some may want to stay later. There are plenty of taxis around and shouldn't cost more than $10 per cab for 4 people back to TTR. But it is a long way off yet. I'd suggest generating interest but not firming up anything concrete until a month or so before.
I completely agree Steve.....definitely on a Friday....already targeted Friday Oct 30. would be rather boring over in that area on say a Wednesday. also agree....it is a long ways out. plenty of time to fine-tune this, gauge interest and nail down logistics. We are just at fermentation stage with it. BUT..... We will rely on your magic to help make it happen if it does, come reality. Heck you and Jannet can join in. Ever been a zombie Steve? I think we are just overzealous and brimming with ideas to top this year...next year! We all had such a good time, (and perhaps still on a TTR buzz) and are raring to go for next year.
The one way makes alot of sense, some people might just want to stay awhile, so much to do down there.
We did the Zombie pub crawl here in minneapolis in early Oct this year and it was unbelieveable. so much fun and it set a Guniness World Record for having 30,000+ zombies. It was so cool seeing everybody dressed up. They had 4 stages set up downtown with DJ's and national acts performing and food trucks everywhere. What a night. So yes April and I would definatly be down for a pub crawl in Cancun next Halloween. almost forgot April and I made it on the news the night of the pub crawl, our outfits were epic
