We have a similar problem to barbie and otis.....we promised our son who will be 21 next year that we will take him to Temptation after his 21st birthday. Now he has a gf who is younger.....obviously that presents its own problem, but we also wouldnt want them to see us acting like spring breakers at Temptation. Our decision was that we would go in Jan to Temptation, and the wife can take the kids again later in the year when they can go to the resort of their choice. I simply cant give up the temptation atmosphere.
We stayed at the ME Cancun (aka ME by Melia) in January. It's a gorgeous resort. Super clean, awesome staff, great food, powder white sandy beaches.... It's "not adults-only," but it's "adult-oriented" This just meant there were no activities for kids (I felt bad because I saw a few, maybe 4 or 5, kids there and they looked bored to death!) They had a DJ and foam-party (on the dance floor) one night that was so much fun. Another night had just a DJ, just dancing, still fun. Then our other 2 nights were quiet, nothing was going on so we sat outside + enjoyed the sounds of the surf.
I brought my 21 yr old son to TTR this last Halloween and he had the time of his life. Of all the roles I play being his father he never really got to meet the partying Dad and im really glad him, April and I got to let loose. It was hands down the best TTR trip we've taken. Also I suggest you look into the Riu Cancun. Really nice resort, good food, party atmosphere (atleast when we were there a few years back) a few thongs and boobs but not to much around the pool and really close to the nightclubs
Royal Solaris was a lot of fun before we found TTR. It is on a beautiful beach, as well. The food is delicious and they serve it poolside with tons of fresh quacamole. They have fun games poolside but they are not sexually charged. That was a several years ago so you may want to check reviews. I have two daughters in that age range. If we brought them to TTR, one would be mortified and the other would break out a thong!
TTR is not a place for parents and their kids. Go elsewhere with TTR kids no matter what age they may be.
We have been to TTR numerous times when various ppl have had offspring along on vacation. This is more common than you may think. In fact we have several friends who have done Temptation with their kids, over the years. It is not a problem for anybody! We think it is actually pretty cool and are envious of those strong healthy parent/kid relationships. Many members have their children included in their legal contract which is perfectly acceptable, as membership is a type of timeshare, to be enjoyed by members' chosen beneficiaries. So I don't think you should be posting your view as though it is a decree.
there was a mother and father with their daughter and her boyfriend last april. It was more weird for people that judged them then it was for the family. but patio's was very interesting late night.
