**JUNE JUNKIES 2015 Party Planning & Theme discussion**

I flew Home that way last year and it is best way to do the flight home

 

After missing this year to take the kids on a family trip, just booked for next year!!


June 24 to July1

 

I think Dawn is right... keep Red and White night as semi-classy. Lots of great ideas for theme nights as well. Did we toss out Naughty School Girl night? Also, I know it's been mentioned a few times, but the outfits for theme nights need to be light enough to wear without having a heat stroke. Paty-O's can be brutally hot in June.

 

So far it seems that the majority would like to fit something new in rather than do naughty schoolgirl again (at least for mid June). If there is a suggestion for it, I will put it on the list for later discussion. We have so many great ideas so far, it will be hard to narrow them down!! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL JUNE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still having trouble getting into the planning groove...I just know it's already too cold around here for my liking...

Also, I'm toying with the notion of scrapping the website we had last year for the Junkies. I would still maintain a roster of sorts but probably add it as a document to our Facebook group page. That way people didn't have 3 different places to catch up on everything. What do you guys think?

 

That works Tom, but wouldn't work for the few that might not have facebook. But yes, agree that fewer places to check would be nice.

 

I think the key word there is "few". For those few people, email is always a possibility.

 

It's up to you. I did think the pics from the spreadsheet were small and I couldn't figure out how print it larger. Was the Google site any easier for you? As I remember, people were trying to get access and you were having trouble identifying them on CCC.

I have even been thinking about not adding anyone new to the FB event until after we have met in person at TTR. Making the FB page for repeaters. THIS IS OUR PRIMARY SITE ANYWAY!!!! Just thinking of the privacy and the pics that pop up there sometimes.

 

This is a good idea. Safety and security should always be considered. We can maintain the themes primarily here at Cancuncare and the Facebook page can be for repeaters/returners/etc.

I can always tweak things and make pictures bigger on the spreadsheet. I'm off from work next week (tell Curtis not to cause any payroll issues) and Tab will be in the hospital til at least Wednesday, it appears, so I should have some time to get creative with it.

 

I think this is a great idea...shows we care and everything. Expanding on this, everyone knows Tab has had lots of health issues over the past few years. It appears Lupus seems to be the culprit and also causes a lot of other problems. It also seems see she gets the most attention and thoughts and prayers from our June Junkies. This being said, I have a special request. Can we have a day at the pool where everyone wears purple. Purple is the color associated with Lupus awareness and I know she would freak out if she came out the pool and saw everyone supporting her and her fight. She doesn't get on to Cancuncare much at all so it would be a huge surprise for her. Of course, I understand if this doesn't get much support, it's just something I thought I would throw out there.
