We have been going to Temptations for 10 years. The last 4 years we have taken a water shuttle over to Isla Mujeras, rented a golf cart, and toured the island. There seems to be some very nice hotels, especially on the beach that faces our resort. I don't necessarily want to stay in the downtown area where all the other hotels are, just in the secluded area, and only for a night or two to break up a longer trip at Temptations. So...has anyone stayed over there for a couple days? Does Temptations have an agreement with any of the hotels over there? Just a thought for a future trip.

We usually go to Isla first for a couple of days just to get our heads straight then for a week or 10 days at TTR (16 times). There are some beautiful resorts on Isla Mujueres but we perfer the little B&B's and the culture. It is like going back 10-20 years in time in Cancun. Villa La Bella has a stunning view of the ocean, more wonderful food than you can consider eating for breakfast and " Beer so cold it will hurt your teeth". Ashley and Curtis Bloggin are wonderful. If they are full the second best place to go is the "Soggy Peso". only 3 rooms right below the owners room(Sally & Mel) with a pool 4 ft from your door. No breakfast but the best lunch on all of Isla. Great bartenders and this is where most of the expats hang out. Wonderful place. Just down the road from Soggy Peso is Bartellos (sp?) very clean rooms, great food and a really cool bar. Makes for a perfect vacation. 1- unwind-2- go party your ass off!
