Has anyone done a tour of Ek Balam? I have heard that this is a better site to explore than Coba or Tulum, is this accurate?

We went there three years ago. It was really good. You can climb to the top and the place wasn't very busy. We haven't been to any others so can't comment on that.

We took the bus to Valladolid and spent the night there. Nice little town. There is a cenote right in town that was cool too. We were in early enough that we went to ek balam the day we arrived.

Sounds like a great trip, we definitely want to try a cenote.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like it is a fair distance to this location.

It would be a long day if you tried to go and come back to Cancun. I can't remember exactly how long of a drive it was I'm thinking around 3 hours.
