Still a comfortable 60 degrees here in the Dallas area. The winds are ridiculous though as the front approaches. At least there's no mention of snow flurries. We'd have to shut down the city. LOL 39 days & counting. :wink3:
29 days for us and this weekend is supposed to be record snowfall for early November. Talk about crappy over here. I seriously question why my parents chose to give birth to me in Michigan and settle down here. Then I stop and question why I haven't left yet at 34 years old LOL
Yes but the snow makes Mexico feel so much warmer, the tans so much better looking, and the drinks so much better!
lets not forget to mention our hot sexy women getting to be scantily clad!! Cum to think of it, the only good thing about winter sexually speaking is the "get warm sex"
Get warm sex is awesome! Thankfully here in GA our temps don't get too terribly cold. Although, last winter was hell for us.
Every winter, my husband + I wonder why we haven't moved to Florida yet. They have affordable houses, no state taxes and their airports are convenient for international traveling. Seems like a no-brainer. However, moving isn't so easy when you have kids in school and you have to find work.
I hear you! It started as kind of a joke a couple years ago... "Hey let's move somewhere with palm trees!". But last winter literally did us in. We began talking about ways to make it happen. Florida was one of our first choices, but now I'm leaning more towards Texas. As long as it has palm trees I can make it work. Still need to line up work and convince the hubby that this needs to happen. If I could be within an hours drive from the gulf, that might be good enough. Some of the Southern states gulf side would also suffice. It's pretty easy to say when it's 10° F out and your script snow off your car lol...
I know what you mean and we've talked about Florida as well, but we do love the different seasons, and this really is a beautiful state with so much forest and so many lakes. We also love to go the U.P. several times in the summer. It's amazing to drive along the sandy shore of crystal clear Lake Michigan with the water on one side, and the forest on the other. You can stop and swim anywhere, and I love the crisp, clean smell of the cedars. It's a different type of experience than Mexico for sure, but it is so laid back and relaxing, and I never get tired of watching those waves either. A perfect day there is a little trail riding on the quads, a swim someplace, and a fire at night by the cabin. I don't think I'm ready for Florida yet. And there have been sightings of scantily clad, or even bare naked women there on occasion too! LOL
