We are bringing a floating beer pong table and our dates are Dec 6-13. We would love to be a part of a scavenger hunt as well
I think it's gotta be a tough job...the hours are ridiculous...six day weeks. What makes an entertainment group special is not only a special kind of personality (Chinos, Omar, Lalo, Sarah69, Amy, Jules, JJ...off the top of my head)... but months and years of working together and developing a style that can't be faked. Staff turnover makes all this impossible to get anything going. They'll get a group together that works, but in the meantime, it'll help to have some cool CCC peeps in the pool to make their job easier. We're very easily entertained when we drink.
Yeah, I wrote a previous post a few months ago about the massive decline in the entertainment staff since Feb. Unfortunately, a segment of people got very upset about me mentioning this fact. It is good that more people are being honest about this issue. The decline in the entertainment staff is a big problem.
You can't argue that chemistry and talent are what make the Ents so amazing...and chemistry takes time to develop. The two of us couldn't fly down and stand in for Chinos and Omar and make it work.
I have to disagree with some of you - like I said, we were there from the 7th to the 14th. It was our first time. JJ, Daniel and the female staff worked very hard. JJ was every bit as good at the side of the pool as Omar was on the Boob's cruise. Sometimes he literally had to go drag people out to be in the events. Again, I can't compare it to Chinos or Omar when they were there, but JJ and Daniel worked the event very hard and they fed off each other. The crowd determines how they succeed. When you don't pay attention to it or are involved with those around you and you don't participate, it is very hard to criticize them
That is true. Maybe the crowd was significantly different too. If the crowd was more into it, might have been better as well. Will have to see the next time I go. Haven't gone enough times yet.
When I was there Sept 13th-20th, JJ seemed like the only person working. Now I don’t know if other staff members were at different areas doing stuff, but he was the only one at the Sexy pool for the games I saw. In Sept 2013 there were 3 people (2 hot girls and 1 dude w/full sleeve tattoos). I thought JJ by himself was doing a pretty good job to me up there alone. I thought he was funny, but that week the guests were extra nuts, so I don't think it was that hard. He just kind of let everyone do their thing, and made jokes and introductions. He did pull me in for the beer drinking contest. I didn't really want to, but I did and had fun. I came in second, which was a huge upset to me, and was like the first time I ever lost. I shouldn't have been so cocky(drinking and smoking on the side when it wasn't even my round). Luckily the dude Rob that beat me ended up being awesome and we became friends after I tackled him into the pool. In 2013 the staff seemed to have to pull people into more, but once they got going it was all good. I don't go to Temptation necessarily needing entertainment staff, and the hours without them is totally fine, but watching a show put on by guests and narrated by people that have seen it all is pretty fun. I am sure with the right personality and experience, anyone could rock at it. People probably just need time, and it would be great if they got to create their own new games.
Being a high repeater resort works against the staff for participation. Having been there many times one tends to watch the newbies get pulled into the games.,,,, less and less newbies = more watchers.
