I am curious as to why people chose to go to TTR for the first time

It is interesting reading these posts. My wife and I were thinking of the GP..but it sound like it is really quite slow. TTR sounds like it would be way more fun. What is the age range at TTR? We are 53 (hubby) and 49 (wife). worried that we might not fit in due to our age. If we go it will probably be the end of May / first of June time frame. Any suggestions on rooms etc?

 

We had been on 3 cruises in four years and got tired of our bar tabs at the end of the week. Plus we wanted more than a half a day on the beach at a time. So we started looking at all inclusive resorts. Then some very good friends told us they booked TTR for their first trip and about cancuncare. We got on here then booked a trip. The funny thing is we still had more beach time on the cruise excursions than we get on a trip to TTR.

 

You'll fit in just fine. Age is only a number at TTR. Our group two weeks ago had some in their late 20's all the way into their 60's. Everyone has a great time there.

 

I am 52 and Blondie is 50. Our first trip was in May for her 50th and we fit in perfectly. It's not about age, it's about attitude.

The age range is all over ther board and doesnt really matter as long as you are there to have fun. As far as rooms go, if you expect to get much sleep stay away from rooms near the patio bar, the party goes on all night. We have never had a room close to there but met several couples that were right above it and didnt get much sleep at night.

 

Family just does NOT understand.

 

That's what we came for....my 50th....never looked back. Every dime is saved to come back twice a year.

 

We did the DR thing, family resorts.. got tired of parentless kids running rampant... Pam won a trip , always wanted to go to Mexico, which, I didnt care if I ever saw the place ( now I wont go anywhere else). I told her to go wherever she wanted, because she won it, and she picked TTR cabo, adults only, blah, blah blah.

Went to Cabo, Loved it, but found the 12 hours of traveling and 4 transfers to be too much. Also, loved the ents staff there. Heard from a guy in cabo about "this crazy fucker named Chino's who did the entertainment in Cancun, and if you think the entertainment here is good, it sucks next to what this guy does"

The rest is history.
