I am curious as to why people chose to go to TTR for the first time

I wanted to go to Cancun.
I didn't want to go somewhere that allows children.
I wanted to sit at a swim up pool bar.

TTR was the cheapest option that catered for all the above.

 

We had gone to Playa del Carmen the year before and had a blast. The resort was "adults only" but adults meant "16 and over", so there were a lot of teenagers getting in the way. We looked for a place that was at least 18 and over and Temptation came up. Since she had gone topless on the beach in PdC, the toptional aspect of Temptation was not an issue. It looked like fun so we booked. We had a blast and if all goes well, we'll be returning for a third trip next year and bringing our usual traveling group.

 

We went for our honeymoon and wanted no kids. Halloween will be our 10th trip.

 

Us like most started out by looking for an adult only all inclusive price friendly resort. I sent the link to Tina, she had to point out to ME it was topless, and I told her we could look elsewhere if she wished, she said absolutely not, lets go have fun and live like you are dying, its so true, once you're there you immediately start planning your return trip. Its been less than three months since we had our virgin swim through TTR, the next 27 days cant go by quick enough until we can get back..

 

Thanks for the feedback! Any of you going to be there Jan 2-8th or know of anyone who will be? I am concerned it will be "slow" since its right after New Year's Eve.

 

Knew we wanted an adults only vacation and not be surrounded by kiddies. Fit into our budget and looking at the reviews - it was mainly positive.

Cancun will never replace the magical place Cabos was - but it will do.

 

We had our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen 4 few years ago. In general I think it is smart to go to Cancun from Philly because you can get a direct flight early and be there in about 3.5 hours. I really can't stand spending a whole day traveling somewhere when you don't have to (lots of tropical beach locations are similar...beach, pool, sand, POOL BAR, bikinis, sun, POOL BAR, nightlife), so why take 10+ hours to get to the same thing you can get to in 4. The honeymoon resort was amazing, kid-free, and there was lots of fun to be had, but it just wasn't enough. Bars closed at 12. There was a 24 hour bar, but it was more like a serve yourself lounge, and past 12 there was 10 people in it at the max.

My wife and I needed more! I don't go on vacation to read, rest, relax, and have sex. I go on vacation to drink, talk to new people, get nuts, and F. Found Temptation on internet searches of all inclusive adult resorts in Cancun. Seemed like the party place, but from the trip advisor reviews we had our doubts. (My wife and I like girl on girl action OF COURSE, but not really into naked dudes flopping everywhere and constant public displays…both things are ok in moderation, but not 24-7). Decided to take the risk, knowing that most people are on trip advisor are there to bitch anyway, and it isn't always accurate.

Turns out the reviews were wrong, the resort was awesome(though a bit dated), but had everything we love. Especially the people! Realized after the first day that this was the place for us. Never touched the water in the quiet pool, and never looked back. Went again in Sept. a year later(2014), and shooting for a May trip (a year was way too long to wait).

We will go here time and time again for party vacation time. We have a 3 year old, and understand as he gets older there will be more family style vacations, but hopefully we can still fit in one for just us adults. The only thing I don't like about the resort is the party/dance music all day and night. I wish there was more of a variety, but I do understand that is gets people going, and girls like it. Happy dancing girls, makes for happy happy dudes. After 7 days non-stop of the same music, I think I am going to freak out. I liked the music on the Boobs Cruise way more. Oh and I didn't mention the Boobs Cruise, going to Temptation is what turned us on to this daytrip, best day ever!

 

We chose TTR because we wanted to around like-minded adults - no kids, no teens.

We enjoy adult humour and adult conversations.

We did not want to restricted by standard societal expectations, after all we are on vacation ! A little (or a lot of) toplessness never hurt anyone either :huepfen013:

Excuse my ignorance, but by "Cabos" do you mean Los Cabos? What was cool about that place, and how come you can't go there?

 

Temptations used to have a smaller resort in Los Cabos , went back and forth with CO (Desire) , they were bought out ;(

It was a nice place to go in Oct/Nov to get away from the rain ( not this year ,lol).

smaller more intimate resort , not as big party atmosphere as Cancun.
Nice beach , rough water.

Gone now , so sad
