When (now 2016 by all accounts) TTR does close it's doors for the big refurb, what's the alternative? Blanco just pointed out that by that time, the new "Breathless" resort that is currently under construction right next door to Desire RM, will be up and running. There really is no place like TTR, I believe. Our Mayhem group will find someplace to party and just try not to get kicked out.
@ GoGoBlanco - FYI, I did a lot of investigation 2 yrs ago when the new build next to Desire RM was announced, here is some background for you. Barclays is funding the project but it will be operated by AMResorts as is first Breathless branded resort in Mexico - they have another Breathless in Punta Cana DR. AMResorts also operates the Secrets, Dreams, Now, Sunscape and Zoetry brands - ie the same group that recently bought the old Oasis Viva and converted it to a Dreams brand. As Steve mentioned, AMResorts and all their brands have no history of moving outside the box of a normal "vanilla" vacation experience. So no matter what the advanced PR is surrounding the new Breathless facility next to Desire RM, I expect the Breathless vacation experience to be pretty much the same as any other adult only(21+) AI resort in the Cancun HZ or Riviera Maya. The concept manager for the new property will certainly help shape it but head office(AMResorts) will always have the final say. As to pricing, I expect it will be similar(or even a bit higher) to what they are charging at their DR location which is a bit more than their Secrets, Dreams, Now brands but less than their top Zoetry brand. Bottom line it is not going to be inexpensive......
Ok, so we understand your/ the viewpoint. But. A. We are European, wherever we go, (Seaside Suites RM etc) "vanilla" or not, you will not see me in more than a piece of cheese-wire (micro bikini bottom, no top) B. If it's "adults only" what/ who's to stop me wearing some of my TTR dresses (it's all covered - just!) You can point and stare - I don't care! (Done this in Europe - it was a conversation starter LOL x) C. If we could get a "takeover" of TTR peeps, April Addicts, June Junkies, Octoberbreast.........do you honestly think they'd throw us out?!! Haha, let them try! Just an idea.........:daisy:
I'm not trying to dissuade you - LOL -just saying that unless you get a significant group going to make your own party Breathless will be just like any other Adult AI place and there are much less expensive places in the HZ if your trying to do an invasion.
We know someone that went to Breathless Punta Cana, and the only thing that left them "Breathless", was the price!!
