Temptation will be closing its doors

Just been on a UK travel agent site and it's allowing us to book TTR for next June so the hotel can't be shutting completely xx

this is an official response from Temptation to a travel agent.

 

they will continue to take bookings but when they commit to a closing date they will refund or send you to another resort. They will lose to much business if they Don't book people without a concrete date.

 

I'm thinking it's time we made a firm decision about our dates for May and get our room booked. I have a feeling that it is going to fill very quickly. Hopefully we can get 2 boobs cruises in again too, like we are for H n H.

 

Just to add to the conversation, if all is true. As it gets closer to the closing date how much money will be spent to maintain the property just to tear it down.

 

Just tell that to all the people that had booked TTR Cabo

they d0 give you a refund for your hotel

 

Yea, its the flight that might be the hang up on a refund. Yesterday for June I had booked TTR through RCI for a week then on to Desire and had a hold on a flight. After reading this cancelled everything. Did not want to end up at a family resort then on to Desire(family resort just didn't set the mood) or did not want to get a refund on TTR with no place to stay before going to Desire. Think I am going to wait...... Going during Halloween weekend anyway.

 

I'm with you. Almost booked for June 2 days ago but after reading the bad news decided to wait. We're also going for Halloween. Like you say the resort refund is not the issue its the flights. And like you I don't want to spend good money at a family resort. I just don't see them dragging their feet on the construction through June. That would take the project well into the 2016 season. I'm hoping the hotel may lease another hotel in the meantime as some people posted. But I really think that's a long shot at best.

 

so looks like everyone from June should jump over to the first couple weeks of May and we would most likely take over the resort with CCC members. The biggest CCC get together ever. Only problem is Steve might have to run a cruise every other day which I am sure he would make it happen.
