I think we've seen that already its any given weekend at Temptation.... lol. I'm sure there is some underperforming resorts that could be purchased for the right price. Not to mention about to have a whole lotta bartenders waitresses and staff looking for work for at least 10 months.
Well lets get GOD er...I mean Steve to put it together Lets Do it How cool would it be to say you own part of a Mexican resort, the next time some boring converstion starts about pension/retirement planning?
I think you would need at least 10 million for startup cash so that's an IPO of five hundred thousand shares at 20 a share. And you still need a residence to be the head of the organization.
With 200 rooms, average rate of 150 a night double occupancy, 60% occupancy rates 73000 "nights" a year to sell, assuming 45000 actually sell: 6.3 million a year in revenue. Now we know the labor rate is low however what about the other fixed expenses of running a resort in Mexico? Probably will require a little more research.
It's a daily. There are 3 or 4 dailys and this one has the widest circulation. The story was on page 4.
I am curious, in this post you said "I've known for a while" about the plans. You just recently sent out info about a larger boat you are getting for the boobs cruises. You have also posted in this thread (later) you are not sure you will be able to run the cruises if the hotel shuts down. This does not all line up. If you knew about the closing I would think you would not go out and buy a new boat if you knew you would likely not be able to run cruises for 10 months or more. Just a question, because it makes me wonder if you may actually know of some plans????.....
Don't want to speak for Steve but he doesn't actually "buy" the boats - just arranges the rental/lease agreement from the company that actually owns the boats. Also I was told once that the boats are actually owned by the same company that owns TTR?? (although I could be wrong on that one)...
The company Albatros has the same address as TTR and their is a Original Resorts logo on their website so I would think that you are correct.
teamDMFP are correct. I don't personally own the boats we use for the Boobs Cruise. I charter an empty boat and put the rest together. The boats are owned by a company called Albatros. The owner of Albatros is part of the de la Pena family, and is the grandson of Diego who owns the hotel. Albatros operate a fleet of around 15 boats and have many contracts for customers outside of Temptation, (probably 85% of their customers are staying elsewhere) they are the biggest catamaran company in Cancun. Although Temptation's closure will affect them it will be minimal and temporary, so hasn't influenced their own investment decisions.
