Has anyone upgraded rooms upon arrival? And if so what was the cost to upgrade? We are thinking of upgrading from a deluxe room to a Jacuzzi room if possible.
I thought it was around 50 a night for the upgrade. I guess it also depends on how booked the resort is when your there.
the cost depends on what you have already booked and then how many levels you want to go up. You also want to negotiate the price. Expect to pay 50-75 per night to go up a level.
If you really want to upgrade you might want to in advance. We tried last Jan. and couldn't for the first four nights. We didn't want to switch rooms just for the last three so we decided not to.
Just a thought. We always get the cheapest room available. You are never there except to shower, sleep etc. The fun is out and about. Just my $.02 worth. Save your cash!!!
Just a thought but when you talk to them about upgrading there are actually two kinds of upgrade rooms with jacuzzi tubs. Jacuzzi suites- These are standard rooms that ring the ground floor around the quiet pool. Nothing special about the room but there is a jacuzzi tub on the balcony outside. This is particularly great on rainy days when you want to hang out in the warm tub and get drinks at the quiet pool for a little private party. Temptation suites- These are larger sized rooms that directly face the ocean at the ends of the resort closest to the beach. We have been in a number of them and there are some differences but you will find in general larger rooms sometimes with a couch area or larger dressing area. There is also a balcony area. The jacuzzi tub however is located inside the bathroom area.
As I am cheap . For us, don't worth the extra cash to have a jaccuzi, since I'm only in my room to sleep, having s*x, shower, get ready for diner, changing myself and get ready for themes night I hate wasting my money on something I have at home =)
