Our first trip we did not make it to Coco Bongo.. We're back again in November, wondering opinions... Is it worth going? TTR isn't lacking in entertainment by any means, but for those who have gone is it worth leaving TTR for a night to check it out? I remember usually there were lots of people going from TTR, but I've heard some mixed reviews in the past. Thanks all!
Go. At least once. It's just something quite unique! Try not to go at the weekend when it's uber packed, try mid week when you can at least move! :daisy:
Agree that you have to go at least once. I didn't go for the first 7 years or so, but have been there each of the last 4 years. And best to go with the group from TTR, since you stay in the same location at the club, and you are around people you will probably know by then. I think they used to run it from TTR on Mondays, but I could be mistaken. And since the bus from TTR doesn't leave until 10pm, you wont miss too much.
It's a really fun night out. I agree that going with the resort/friends from the resort is best because it can be so crowded that I'd rather be by people I know. I hate being so close to people for that long so I'll often get them to let me up on stage to dance (so much more space) or at least on the bar. They tend to come to the TTR group to find volunteers for some reason....
Awesome show but if you are going looking for a disco/club/dance experience there are better places IMO. It's a bit of a firetrap once it is full. Again, though, if you want a show we have not found a better one in cancun.
