Been looking all day on-line for clothing options for the both of us and you think we never went anywhere cause I'm starting to feel clueless. So I think I need more info from you smart TTR folks...

Dress code for the men at dinner? Shorts? Long dress pants? Jeans? Button up shirts? Tshirts? Polo?

And if you're going to Paty'O's after dinner - is it more casual? Can the Mr. wear jeans?

    Thanks!

Jeans! LOL way too hot for jeans, as a man I wear cotton pants and a shirt to dinner, at home I would not consider my pants dressy. If you wear cut offs and a t shirt they may not let you in, but a nice pair of shorts and a polo I think you would be fine in most places. The Italian is the nicest restaurant followed by the Asian, they both require reservations. The other restaurants are a bit more casual. I usually change before the Paty'o because it is like a sauna most nights and the less the better ;) I have no idea where Sherrie buys my cotton pants but maybe places like old navy, they are definitely not Tommy Bahama, I think that's the right name. Casual is good, cool and casual is better. And that may be the most I have ever discussed clothes ;)

You may be able to find Caribbean Joe lines on sale at some department stores, too, as it is the end of the season for them. Tommy Bahama has some higher end lines, but the quality is pretty good. They do a lot of silk and linen.

Stick with linen for Cancun - it's lighter and breathes easier.

Dinner clothing = sorta covering the parts you can't show anywhere else but TTR.

Paty'O's = giving an impression of covering the parts you can't show anywhere else other than TTR when you first arrive; then you will get way too 'hot' to wear all that so it will have to come off.
