Hello everyone. My girlfriend and I are very outgoing and adventurous. We know TTR has a lot to offer. Are there any excursions anyone has been on that they can recommend and how much?:headbanger:
We went with a group from the resort last year and went to xplor. It was a lot of fun. The river raft was ok. I ride atv's a lot so that part was kind of lame. But the zip lines were awesome. And the buffet lunch was good.
Try booze cruise that include snorkeling and a short trip to isla mujeras (small beautiful island) get more information from the booth next to the sexy pool (under the same hut where you get towels) You can try scuba diving, there is a guy who can teach you and take you on trip, he seats next to sports pool. Forgot his name, but you can find that on this forum. You can go with other travel agency too. Try chichen itza, it is a day long trip, but worth going if you are not going to TTR for sexy pool only lol You can go to is ka mujeras and rent a golf card and see the island, it is beautiful. There are lots of other activities too, you can get information from office next to sports bar, there representative from BD travel seat.
For our honeymoon we stayed in Rivera Maya and we did two excursions lasting basically a full day(7-5). Both were by a company called Adventuras Mayas. Both trips were great, very professional, and $80-90 bucks a person. There was over and hour drive each way to get there. 1. Tulum Xtreme - involved zip-lining, rappelling, going to the archeological site of Tulum, Lunch, and snorkeling in an underground cave 2. Snorkeling Adventure (I don’t know the official name) – Snorkeling/swimming in 4 different locations and lunch Last year at TTR we did the Boobs Cruise (In the top 5 of the best parties I have ever been to), and also a much more calm booze cruise(didn't compare). This Sept, we are doing the Boobs Cruise, and maybe, maybe something else. It is very hard to justify leaving TTR. Lots of people on this site talk about getting the ferry and riding golf carts on the island for the day. I may consider this if a break day is needed. On my first, and only trip thus far, I realized that TTR is the party spot. That’s the type of vacation we are trying to go on again, so I really don’t feel like spending extra money to go do something other than that. But you know everyone goes on vacation with their own goals in mind. Just make sure you ask around before booking, and defiantly don’t sign up for anything at the airport before you have talked to people who have done the particular excursion. Lots of them may do the same activities, but just aren’t put together the same way and/or as well organized. On a 7 night trip, I would not do more than 1 or two things away from the resort.
Xplor was awesome! Wife and I had a blast! I had a friend who just went off my recommendation and she loved it! Boobs Cruise is cool as well. Fun time if you know people on the boat!
We once walked down the stairs by the sexy pool and found the ocean and a small beach. :aktion060: Who knew That was there?? :icon_lol:
Boobs Cruise not to be confused with the less exciting booze cruise. It's the only time we ever leave TTR. On a previous visit to the Cancun area (Playa Del Carmen), before we'd discovered TTR, we did a couple of excursions -- Xcaret and something else equally forgettable. Once we discovered TTR, never felt the need to leave.
