good way to make friends We'll be there less than 12 hours before our first cruise! It's our first visit to TTR, too! I can't waiT!!
There's a guy (forget his name) that sets up at the sport pool most mornings and gives scuba intros and then does diving outings int the afternoon. That seems like a low-risk outing that a few ppl I've talked to have enjoyed. There is also organized outings to coco, and frogs ( and the other one I forget the name of). You get transport and open bar tab and a reserved table. Again, the ppl I've talked to in the past had found it an easy low risk outing. Obviously as others have mentioned, Steve's cruise is a must do. That said, other than morning run on the road and evening walk on the beach, I've found the resort to have enough going on each day to not feel the need to get out much. My first trip to both cabo and cancun Temptation resorts I didn't leave the property...but subsequent trips I have ventured out more.
For our first few trips we always took 1 day off the resort to do an excursion. Each time I regretted missing the party at the pool but we honestly never missed that much and we always returned to the pool for the last bit of fun before the sun went down. You can always just wait to book until you get down there and see how you feel. There are plenty of excursions available at the towel hut by the pool or inside by the front desk.
I'll be in marathon training during our trip and I've wondered how to get my miles in. Is it safe for me to run the roads? I certainly wouldn't attempt a longer (10+ miles) run, but getting 6-8 miles in a few days would be awesome.
Perfectly safe, and you likely will not be the only one in the hotel zone running at dawn surprisingly.
