The laws of Mexico regarding premises liability are not those of the US. It is hardly ever pursued there for that reason.

My advice from our misadventure and it really worked. When we approached the Delta ticket counter at CUN, an agent standing on our side of the counter, noticed my wifes really swollen, black and blue wrist and gave us this advice. " Delta is NOT going to allow anyone in obvious pain or discomfort to board the aircraft, without a complete Medical evaluation !!! They DO NOT want a medical emergency at 30,000 ft over the Gulf of Mexico". Once my wife heard that, she told the Delta Agent "Oh, It looks a whole lot worse than it really is".
Ohhhhh So sorry to heard that. As my advice.. I always and ALWAYS put towel and walk on it in the room ... ( even if they are wet ) As long as you put towel you'll be find. If I'm not in my room, I always put thongs on .. ( To walk around the pool / hotel. It's very slippery .. More slippery actually when you're drunk .. But if you saw that you have a problem don't know why you didn't change room ? It's not really TTR fault, I don't know if you went to other resort, but whatever where you're going, it's always like that. Been to 3 diffrents resorts in cancun and every single one of them, was slippery. So I learned long time ago to where shoes, towel on. It's sad, but I guess they can't take responsability for this... Pretty sure some people claim they add insurance but they didn't. that why when I'm travel.. As I know, I wasn't there to judge.. but did you bring all your documentation ? Add an insurance with you're credit card compagny ? Happen to bens, right in the stair he fall.. But thanks god he was ok. and since then we ALWAYS ALWAYS buy shoes / thongs, /flipflop that are not slippery ( we tested them on the floor at the store Oh well, I hope you will recovery fast

Yeah, i cracked my femur on the first trip, to which i received the equivalent of "rub some dirt on it". I waited to treat until we returned home (injury was at the end of the trip). No billing issues that way, sorry to hear aboutyour fall, those floors are ice skating rinks with the air and humidity....
