they kept a fewe bottles of sol last April , but limited , ran out a lot. the Dos is a pretty plain beer that is easy too drink all day.
Traditionally, they only had the Dos Equis Lager (the green one) at TTR, but this past May they had expanded that list, thankfully, to also include Sol, Superior and Tecate Light. Of that list, my personal favorite for daytime drinking is the Sol, and nighttime is the Superior.
The Sol and Tecate Light were a nice surprise, and cut back my vodka consumption. I should try the Superior for my nighttime drink. I struggle what to drink at night, and hate to switch from drink to drink.
Dos XXX and Sol, i think they reserve the Corona for Premier Members but don't quote me on that Anyways, an ice cold sol with lime hits the spot just right for me
I, personally, can't drink beer all day anymore. I love beer but it doesn't love me back, as I found out this weekend at my college reunion in Chico, CA. Drank beer all day in the pool, no water to drink. 106 degree temperature with 40% humidity. Next thing Blondie and I knew a case and half of Sierra Nevada Summerfest was gone and we were hammered. The next day was truly ugly. That is why we stick to vodka with soda and lime.
Add a lime or two to the Doc Equis and she'll be fine. Long Island Iced Tea, Vodka Tonic are some other options.
I have nothing new to add here but as a BEER! drinking Veteran of TTR I'd like to put in a good word for the BEER! I do a few sticky resort drinks in the morning, switching shortly to BEER! and staying with BEER! all day with-shots-in-be-tween-in-to-the-eve-ning!
Use XX to make a beer blaster. A shot of vodka, then fill with beer and a few drops of tobassco or worchester
Does anyone else think TTR should get Dos Equis to brand some limited edition beer cans with an additional X on them plus the TTR logo? Now those would be souvenirs! It would be fun to bring some back, full, and discreetly slip one or two in the beer cooler at random BBQ's, pool parties, camping trips, etc and see what response that drums up. Do church picnics have beer too?
