I stayed at the Sens this year at the end of January with my gf. We had a great time, loved the food and the service. There are many conflicting reviews on tripadvisor, but our experience was great.
It definitely slows way down by about 10:30-11pm. They have a great chill lounge though that serves until 1am. Reminded me of many places I've seen in casinos etc. They also have the 'Kinky Nightclub' that has sexy-themed shows 4 of the 7 nights. We were there for two of the shows and it was busy and a lot of fun. The average people there were couples 25-45 and a lot of the people we talked to wanted to go to Temptation as well so I could see that hotel swaying (not quite swinging) in that direction if there is enough input.
There are definitely a few drawbacks depending on what irritates you. A lot of stairs to climb from the main floor to the beach as the pools are built on a hillside, hence the three-tiered pool. The pools aren't heated so it can be a little chilly Dec-Feb. That shouldn't affect many of the TTR people as we will be numb to that sensation by 1pmish. Also, there is 10-20 minute wait time at the breakfast buffet if you are there during the peak time 9-10. Other than that, it was definitely a great place for the price with some great people.
I wouldn't mind returning but I would definitely go back in a heartbeat if they pushed a little sexier theme and bumped up the night life a little.

Well, Channel12 - apparently they are planning on doing just that. My booking info says that things will be changing over in August to an adult theme. The age will be 21+, and more. Please see my other post - I copied the info directly from my booking sheets.

I am excited to try it in October! I am aware that there are a lot of stairs, that is kind of a bummer, but if everything else is ok, it's not that big of a deal, I don't think. The pools and beach look so nice! Thanks for your feedback on the resort -- it's a little scary when there is so much negative out there about Oasis properties.

Did you ever check out any of the other Oasis resorts in Cancun?

What we liked about GOV was the BEACH and WATER. Completely and totally blew TTR away. No big deal if your a pool person, but we love a great beach. Went to Golden Parnassus and the beach was GREAT. However the water was quite often very ROUGH. Not all of the time, but enough that it could put a damper on things. The staff called a lot of people out of the water for a couple of days. Oasis Sens is worth taking a look at!!! Maybe for the 4-5 days before Thanksgiving..

When we went to the GP last Dec. the hot tub was broken, and nobody used it. Seems like it could be used a lot if working. Does the Sens have a hot tub? Non heated water isn't very warm that time of year.
