Best Method for Booking Travel to TTR

Hey Everyone, following this thread for the past month or so has me sold on Temptations. Wife and I are planning first getaway in over 7 years!. In that I don't book a ton of 'pleasure' travel, what do you all recommend as the easiest / hassle free method for booking the trip? (Direct with Resort? Websites? Travel Agents?)

We use cheaptickets and always get a great deal. It's good to do a package deal with the airfare. Don't book through the resort. Groupon sometimes has deals too.

You may also want to use a referral week from a premier member. I'm pretty sure there are threads on here for that!

I think it depends on what country you are booking from and the time of year you plan on going. Big travel sites like expedia or cheaptickets are usually the easiest.

 

Thanks! Great info! I've been reading that late April / early May are both awesome times to head down. Octoberfest coming up.... Anyone have thoughts on mid-Nov (11/14 - 11/17)?

 

We go Halloween and with the June junkies. Then again, anytime at Temptation is a good time!

 

This is great - we're ready to go! There were a couple of threads regarding 'construction' but I couldn't tie it back to where. Is TTR going through renovations currently? Anyone concerned?

 

We have always got the best deal by using the link on here for Alpharooms. Then we book our flight on our own.

 

Sounds like we're missing a huge party in October!!! Have to look to top it in November!

 

They have been painting and adding stuff but nothing major that would interfere with your trip.

 

If you have points or fly miles to get your airfare use them. Then use Alpharooms to book the room. Cheapest I have seen when we are not booking the room and air together. (Reminder if you use the Alpharooms link through this site, Steve gets a weee bit of the pie.)
