I have a question (may be a strange one). Has anyone ever had a wedding at TTR - other than the expensive ones they have listed on their website?
Get Chinos and Omar to marry you on the Boobs Cruise . Then the rest of the party guests get to do the AIWC off the bride and groom , then you jump in the ocean butt naked ....... Now thats a wedding to remember ???
That's the only bad thing about TTR. Would love to get married while we are down there (had to put it off for family reasons). When looking at other hotels, could have done it for free with a 5 night stay, but TTR seemed like the place we want to be. The price for a simple ceremony at TTR is over $800. Considering everything else we want to do, Boob cruise, massages, etc don't think that price is in the cards. :banghead:
We did a Vow Renewal there on 17 July... it was $980 USD, included the setting of your choice, decorations, cake, champagne, dinner reservations and a flower for the bride and groom, the minister to perform the ceremony, I had my dress pressed, and keepsakes so that we could include the thought of our children in the ceremony. We had friends take pictures, but the wedding coordinator offered to take them at no additional fee, and had a waiter there during the whole thing. They also offer ala carte ceremonies to help lessen the cost. We dealt with Luz, who is the head of the wedding area.
Blondie and I renewed our vows on the beach on the Boobs Cruise and Chinos officiated. It was untraditional but it was a lot of fun and several in attendance were moved to tears. Something to think about. I don't know if they do actual weddings or not but you can inquire.
We are thinking of renewing our vows in a couple of years. I feel that price is reasonable. This is good to hear. I originally planned a destination wedding at the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana but my grandmother got sick and family crap happened and we had to cancel our dream wedding. We are older now and we would like to do the vow renewal at TTR and enjoy a rockin' party
