Hey all! My husband and I just returned from our first visit to Cancun & Temptation. We made the decision to become members. We're considering canceling because we feel like we have no idea how to use the membership or if it's even worth it. We're trying to plan a trip out of the country (but not Mexico) with our children included later this year. We have no idea how to go about it. On the phone today we learned that we do get the $399 rate but that is in ADDITION to paying for the all-inclusive at the resort we stay at. If that's the case, is the membership even worth it?

If you are a member do you use it? Any regrets? Any tips? We're so confused!
    Thanks in advance!!!!!

Obviously you became members with zero planning, and possibly with lots of the higher end booze they fed you. I would cancel until you have a better idea of what the plan is, and if you are really going to use it.

We have been members for several year, and upgraded our plan in 2013. It works well for us, however we may know more about the plan than the people that you bought it from.

Have to agree with Bart n Annette on this one...cancel for now and do some research before your next trip then decide whether to buy in again. We did an impulse purchase as well and made good use of it in the old days. We upgraded last year and got some better prices for our stay. It's not for everyone and can be hard to make it work if have a limited schedule or other vaca plans you want to do.

We figured a commitment of 4 years basis 10 days per year and we'd be even. I do appreciate that in that time, we will have received our original investment amount back against the lower per night premier rate. We also have to take into account that there added benefits as a premier member. We haven't figured out a dollar figure to put to the benefits but should add up to a decent accumulated value over time. So for us it was a positive choice. On another note, counting the days to a great vacation and looking forward to meeting the friends we've made on the site.. See you all soon and safe travels.

If you just did it you need to make the login for RCI or whatever other trade programs you got. There is a good chance where else you may go will not be all inclusive with kids there so there wouldn't be any addition to your trade fee.
