They explained it, if the resort was to be sold we get compensated because we have equity. In one of our addendums it states we have 33k USD Condo equity.
You should ask all the members who bought in at TTR / Desire Cabo when they closed and sold the property about "equity" or even any type of compensation - lol
I am definitely missing some point here, taking my own example: I traveled from NYC to CUN, stayed for a week. I booked everything 36 hours ago, so of course I will pay high price for flight+resort, but a month ago when I was looking for the same date, I found 1100$ for 7 days+Airfare. Average two way price for air is 400$ so means stay is 700$, Now if premier is paying 130$/night, then someone who is not premier would have paid 100$ if booked in advance!!!!
It really depends... We go to TTR for 7-10 days, and typically pay between 1900-2500.... This next trip, we are going on a referral week, and its only about 1800... Because we got great flight deals...
We have to agree with you on this one. If you can get great deals on flight only a referral week can be cheaper than going through a travel agent or on line. You have to put in the work to get the great deals especially on flights. You have to make your membership work for you if you want it to work well also.
Exactly... We very well may sign up when we go in September... Simply for the convenience of standard pricing... That way all I have to do is monitor USAir/Southwest/JetBlue for pricing, and snatch up plane tickets for cheap... Or start using a credit card with miles...
Sound's great and we are counting down the day's to having another completely relaxing and enjoyable vacation... We are also looking forward to meeting you guys and having some laugh's.. Safe travels!! Gary n Cindy
As many people have stated you have to make it work for you. For us the savings is only part of the equation. The premier perks at the price we paid , $6k , are worth it to us. We just watch for airfare deals.
