We are taking our first trip to TTR next week and are looking forward to it!

About us: 50yo couple married 30 years looking to have fun & let loose. We are not "swingers" but open to new experiences with others. We are a very open minded, easy going, socially & financially successful couple.

Our question/concern: There seems to be a fair amount of comments on this board about the "old man" or "over 50 couples" etc... Never in a positive way.

Is there a pervasive attitude against couples of our age? Should we have chosen a different resort or are we just noticing the few rude members?

Just wondering... She would like to participate in lingerie theme etc... feel sexy & cut loose (big step for a HS math teacher!) but concerned...

Any advice or experience to share? Thanks all!

We have been 10 times! I am in my thirties and my husband is in his forties. We hang out with people of all ages. We don't judge anyone! That's why we love this place. Have a blast!!!

51 & 63, just booked our 6th trip for our 10th wedding anniversary next April. We have never, ever heard any "ageist" remarks. Actually that's a lie, once a young, drunk, English boy was complaining to me (GoGo) about the "disgusting, old, topless women at this resort" until I pointed out he was talking to one! LOL.
This resort knocks years off you anyway!:daisy:

We have been married 42 years !!! When we tell everyone we go to TTR, they are really amazed !!! of course, they are correct. We could go to Riu Palace, Hard Rock or Sun Palace. But TTR is a lot more fun (also for a lot less $$$). Nothing like Pattyos !!!

We go to TTR because we still can !!! WE AIN'T "THAT" OLD, YET !!!

TTR is simply a lot of fun. Its maybe R rated, but not X. Worst comment I hear about my 60 year old wife is "Why don't she take her top off more often". One thing that will quickly gross out an older women is Public sex. By older, I mean any woman betweem the ages of 15 and 75. No worries about that at TTR !!

Its a also HUGE step for a middle school spec ed teacher. Really so, since people talk a lot. However, Cancun is most probably several 1000 miles from your home town and people normally don't talk THAT loud.

From all of our years attending adult resorts, The most simple answer to your question is "If you are asking this question here on this forum, I am quite sure you will like TTR a GREAT deal."

Thank Goodness that you still able to go and act 40 all over again !!! To be honest, I would say about 30+% of the folks at TTR are going to be your age or older.

I've never seen an 'old man' or 'over 50 comment' but I'm not really really looking for it so it might have passed me by. I see LOTS of 'young single dude' comments, only a few are good.

I think there are A LOT of beautiful 50+ people at TTR! Please know that if there are a few people who feel beauty dies at 29, they are not the norm!

Both just over 50 here , loved our first trip and already booked and counting down the days to our second trip to TTR .
As the saying goes your only as old as you feel . Age is just a number .
Lose the bikini top and enjoy ..

We are 50 and 51. We notice that many TTR guests are at or above our age group. The diverse age group makes TTR a better place to be. We are growing older, not up!

This will be our fifth trip in November. We are upper forties couple and love age range of the people there. We meet with people from all over each year and have friends there from their sixties to mid twenties. All are great and bring something to the table. Kay stays in touch with most all year until we all meet up again in November.
