Typical "Me me me" leap of logic. What evidence, pray tell, exists that people who would be against skinny dipping go to bed early? Because they can't party like you bolder types? The resort exists to offer an experience to people. The same vocal minority is always pushing for more when resorts already offer that experience. Why don't I go spam the Desire site complaining that they allow total nudity?

 

I agree Jen&kyle, late night skinny dipping is different in my opinion. I am one that is not comfortable going nude but in the darkness of night I find it fun to jump in for a swim. When I have been there, There are very few people around the pool at that time and it is very dark.

Nope. lingerie/Casino night is hosted by the hotel. In order to enter Nice Shoes for the event everyone, including men, must be wearing lingerie.

 

That is quite a leap. Giving my opinion on whether people would not go to TTR because of skinny dipping at the sports pool is all about me? Implying this is spam? It is ok to discuss like adults what we like and don't like. If everything always stayed the way it was and never changed the world would be a boring place.

The bed to early part was a joke. But you are too angry to see that. So you fire off your attacks. That is fine. I am not going to be angry and bitter like you. If you think you are not then ok, it sure comes off like that here and in many of your other opinions, but you have that right. Not a single 'like' of a post in your history but you accuse people of being selfish, think many men don't deserve the women they are with because they don't dress nice, you call people fools for eating fruits and vegetables at the resort and management idiots for booking groups of guys. That is just the start of the negativity. It is a shame that after all of your visits to TTR you still don't get that life is short and you should enjoy it to the fullest and respect others opinions. I respect yours despite the negativity surrounding them

Saw the skinny dipping argument. Not trying to get into that mess, but last year when we went early July, about 20-30 people went late night dipping in the sports pool nightly. Some completely nude, some topless, some in bathing suits. People respected each other's boundaries and if people were doing sexual things to each other it was discrete enough that we didn't notice. It was actually a nice way to cool down after a hot night at PatyOs and it's one of the things we were looking forward to doing this time around. But apparently it isn't a regular thing throughout the year. We would go after PatyO and just talk/mingle with people we met during the day.

 

No, telling people with dissenting viewpoints about how it would be ok and people that didn't want the experience you did would "already be in bed" or "wouldn't be near the sports pool" (which is the only 24 hour pool on the property) certainly shows you want things your way and for everyone else to work around it. You even say re. alienating people who would prefer these activities not be allowed "it could be easily avoided". Well it is certainly easily avoided if not allowed right?

I consider people a fascinating study, and this case is no different. People operate optimally in an environment with absolute rules, not shades of grey. Once the absolute lines begin to soften, people will rush into the grey areas with differing speed and certainty based on their own personal world view, wants and needs. Specifically to THIS CASE it is very easy to police no skinny dipping. You just can't do it, no ambiguity no fuss. However if you suddenly say skinny dipping is OK after midnight how long is it before people want to skinny dip at 11:45? 11:30? What magically makes an act that is against the rules all day ok to participate in at a given hour?

The SECOND that skinny dipping at the sports pool becomes OK at night, some percentage of the people who are so damn adamant that this change is made will within a month start complaining that skinny dipping should be OK in the sports pool 24/7. It is simply the natural progression of human nature, nothing is ever enough. Surely you see that this is the case?

You were not joking and there is no implication whatsoever in your post that you were, you just stated what you on some level believe to be fact. "Fun" poeple stay up late. "Fun" people want to skinny dip. Anyone who doesn't want that activity allowed at the resort is inferior to those that do. That is the inference, and its not like it takes a nobel winner to see what you were implying if not stating outright.

I also congratulate you on reading through my post history and cherry picking two lines out of my posts and using them as a hammer with which to pound me over the head and paint me as a miserable douche. Nothing could be further from the truth, but your opinion of me matters less than the bugs that hit my windshield on the way to work today. I had no idea failing to use the "like" button made me such a social leper, I will hop on that today since obviously it is the key to unlocking a level of joy and contentment that have espcaped me all these long years. If only I had known how happy I could be by only clicking a mouse button!!

Since you are so enthralled with the like button, you do know like 8 members liked my post where I challenged the men to class up the resort a bit right? You are an absolute liar if you tell me you have never seen a couple and remarked "Damn how in the world did he land that chick???" Specifically to Temptation I am always amused by how into the themes (and spirit of the resort) the women are and wonder how they came to be with men who cannot be bothered to dress up for dinner or theme nights. Perhaps you have never pondered why these men are so uptight, or why these women do what they do. Like I said, human nature fascinates me. If I went to an event with my wife, at which I dressed to the nines and she couldn't even be bothered to pretend to participate I would be offended, as to me that basically says you cannot be bothered to do something for me. Obviously many board members feel the same about the level of male participation, you apparently do not. Which is fine. C'est la vie!

I was jesting saying that people who eat fruit are fools, I was merely giving advice that was asked of me. The tone of the post is clearly lighthearted, but that can be lost on the net. I stand by my convictions about eating, you can take it or leave it. Because what I eat doesn't effect you in ANY way, whereas nudity on the resort does intrude upon others, capiche?

I stand by all my remarks ever about singles. I would like to see them banned from the resort. I don't dislike single people. My trip report reveals my wife and I greatly enjoyed partying with a group last trip. It is the rules of absolutes again, and I feel the negatives of allowing singles well outweigh the positives. You disagree, I don't mind. Be there in April and your tune may well change. Or not, again whatever.

My trip report is among the ten most viewed on this sight, without any pictures of any type and without any boasting of sexual conquests. Why? I can only assume people enjoy the way I write. I have opinions, I state them.

I have no qualms with people suggesting improvements to the resort. Physically the resort could use MUCH improvement. MUCH. However I am greatly annoyed by all the people who, despite posting thousands of times on a message board devoted to the resort, seem to want to change the very fabric of the resort. Temptation is a perfect balance of naughty and nice as it is, thats the reason we all keep going back. It straddles the line without going over it, which is very difficult. Clothing optional resorts exist, and in the case of Desire have superior facilities. I just do not understand people always pushing the envelope to have Temptation become a pale imitation of a lifestyle resort.
