Can anyone who stayed at either of the two Desire resorts in Cancun share what the condition of the two resorts is? We have heard the Pearl is totally run down and aged and the Desire Rivera Maya is even worse. We are looking at doing a split visit between TTR and Desire but not if the Desire resorts are not up to par. Any thoughts would be appreciated. :huh:
Just read Jen&Kyles recent Trip report to Pearl - Desire RM is in as good condition, don't know where you got you info, but not true...
We were at Desire RM cor 5 nights, 6 months ago (Xmas). We had some dislikes but nothing about the facilities or state of the resort. It is not run down at all! Very nice actually and well tended. Where did U hear this? Could you be thinking of Hedo? Cuz that is very run down.
Both resorts are in better condition than TTR, and we have no real complaints about it here. Pearl is dated, in terms of decor, not condition, but the facilities are nicer. You won't be disappointed. :daisy:
Any chance you could cite your source? Sounds like someone or something does not want you to go if you are on the fence about it.
Sounds like the info I got was more on the décor than condition of the resorts. My source is two acquaintances that we've met traveling to TTR. I PM'd one of them and they said décor was dated in some areas but the resort as a whole was nice.
Somebody has really bad information! Been to all 3 in the last year.....................TTR is at the bottom of the barrel........IMO........RM is tops........ Followed closely by Pearl with TTR a very distant 3rd. But........to each his/her own!
Easily! Some people find the need to make up shit and mislead people. Either Desire is in better condition than TTR.....................hence the MAJOR rebuild at TTR!
