Exactly what we found in both March and this past May's trip, El Tigre behind the bar at the Quiet Pool in the afternoon, which is, if you know Tiger, an oxymoron of sorts. as you can see here... And, for the record, there was quite a bit of spontaneous nudity the Saturday afternoon of our trip at said bikini Bar (the Quiet Pool bar), which was VERY inappropriately named for about an hour when we took it over for an impromptu bodyshots and pictures with Tiger session. I took one of those "Jamaican Luge" shots of Tiger's wet pussy shots off... rather out of... Stacia's naked ass while she knelt on the barstool to get said delicacy offered up. Got pics to prove it, too. WWanna see? Ha! And, still on the naked stuff, we ran around naked on the beach the last night, got naked in the hot tub in our Jacuzzi room, were naked at least twice in the Sexy Pool's hot tubs, etc. etc. etc. We just didn't go strolling around swinging the Oscar at everyone passing by. Re Unik. It was used as a hook - you could say 'Unik Selling Point' for Premier Sales about 4-5 years ago. I wonder how many people bought in on that promise and are still waiting? We do sail past it regularly on the cruise but not close enough to see how it is progressing. I know last time I saw it from the road quite a while back it was just an empty shell of a building. I doubt, if it ever opens, it will be clothing optional. There's a fair amount of opposition (especially among the very vocal Isla Expats who seem to think they own the place) towards adult activities topless/nakedness etc as I know from experience. I'd especially think this would be the case given its proximity to Dolphin Discovery and Garrafon Natural Reef Park.
That would be a bad move in my opinion. They'd alienate most of their repeaters who wouldn't go back and many first time visitors would be put off from making an initial booking. I think they'd be hard pressed to balance that out with sufficient new people who enjoyed and wanted that concept. It's current concept has been successful for 15 or so years and it would take a brave owner to change such a winning formula for no benefits to the company. Besides I cant ever see clothing optional being permitted in the Cancun Hotel Zone where every beach side hotel is in close proximity to public access.
