Unik is a fully finished hotel/resort out on the Island. It has never opened. It was built in partnership with another company. (OR bought a yacht and named it Unik as means to transfer guests to and fro. It is on the dock right beside Temptation boat. It gets used, just not for its intended purpose. ) hings went sour. It has been tied up in litigation for about 4yrs. The history has been a bouncing ball. Latest I heard is it is 100% in OR's hands currently. It has been sitting for 5 yrs and apparently needs some maintance and work. Spose to open, couples only, in next yr. Possibly clothing opt. Possibly members only. But like always.....plans change and rumours undependable (like Wall St....buy on rumours...sell on news). If U R familiar with Original..U know they have many plans, but lack on execution. If U have been on the Boobs Cruise you have prob sailed/floated by Unik.

Yes on the Boobs Cruise and we spent a day on the island with a golf cart but I don't recall seeing an empty resort. Which part of the island is it on?
I am directi9nally challenged when in Cancun. Hell most nights I have trouble finding our rooom. And we usually have the same room. I blame TTR's bartenders, and Pepe when we are on the yacht, for my compass incompetence. Perhaps Steve can better explain the locale.
Unik sounds cool! I love hearing about abandonded buildings (even though this one was probably not 'abandonded' in the traditional sense. I wonder what the vibe will be like when it opens. Need the address NOW so I can quench my Google Earth addiction lol:anon:
Well I have been told I can spin a good yarn. And I might've lost something in translation. My espanol is poor. And I do drink....ALOT. so I might've dreamt this. But U R right it sounds totally sweet. And Unik looks gorgeous from what we can see, 1/2 a nautical mile away, from the water. BTW...anyone rushing to buy a memebrship based on this possibilty.....
