If you want to eat steak forget Ruth Chris. Go to Puerto Madero. Highly overpriced but great steaks without any question for Cancun. Ruth Chris you can do just about anywhere since its a chain restaurant and truly nothing spectacular other than their prices.

So, if you've ever had anything other than a spectacular steak at Ruth's Chris, post at least 1 photo and MAYBE you'll have some credibility.

We second this one. We went to Puerto Madero and yes a little over priced but great food and great staff. We had 2 waiters around our table at all times and never had a problem but would recommend checking your bill to make sure they don't add the tip in.

There was a great seafood place just out the beach side to the left by the massage tents (not the hut) Cocos.. and grill. Awesome seafood broth and a good selection

Personally though I don't much care for beef in Mexico due to the fact I am from cattle country here in Alberta. We are very spoiled by the quality here where even a cheap cut is good and aged properly.

We are also from Alberta - and YES - our beef is quality.

But, there is a place in Mexico and it's an Argentinian restaurant called "Cambalache Big Steak House" it's amazing and Argentina know their beef - they bring the cuts of beef around to your table to present for your selection and cook it to your liking - it is delicious guys.

Located in the plaza of Coco Bongos - we average around $100.00 US for our meal w/ appetizers - 150.00 if you plan on a few drinks w/ your meal.

Make sure when converting prices you just drop the zero off - and away you go - easy ... for example; if it's 150 pesos for a glass of wine its approx. 15 US dollars ea glass - don't get burned like our girlfriend (6 glasses later; not realizing until after the meal - ouch)!! :ernaehrung015:

Hope this helps guys - which ever you decide on, be sure to post the outcome ... ENJOY!!

    Cheers!!
