Google maps- have they gone too far?

Ok maybe I am way behind the curve here but has anyone else gotten down to "street view" on google maps along the beach at TTR? It is interesting to say the least. They do a decent job of blurring out the naughty bit of those that are there as well as the faces but only the faces of those that are showing their naughties.

The other funny thing is seeing people reaction to someone walking along the beach with a camera taking pictures. They have a definite look of "WTF are you doing" here.

 

I haven't checked google maps but I am addicted to google earth street view/google earth in general. I checked out TTR on google earth a while back but couldn't get any closer than the entrance!

In general- google is a scary company with too much big brother for my liking!

 

It's only going to get worse, trust me

 

Just looked there is three people standing by themselves and an un-blurred shot of the ladies top.

 

you'll notice that Google isn't married... got nothin' I haven't looked closely but there has to be a way to report naughty pictures on there I'd imagine

 

I personally like the street view. Great for exploring where you are going before you get there (Find restaraunts and things to do near a hotel you will be staying at)


It is actually very easy to report google image privacy issues.. All you do is locate the image in Street View.
Click "Report a problem" in the bottom-right of the image window.
Complete the form and click "Submit".

 

Are the images on Google maps really Google images, though? I know that the street view ones are /the ones taken by the van but the ones of the sexy pool and beach and stuff, aren't those user images?

Yep they're Google. Occasionally you can see the shadow on the sand. Poor guy is lugging around a mounted Google camera on his back!

 

Weird. Somehow I can't see them? I only see the ones done on the road??
