In the parlance of the lifestyle, a unicorn is a single woman that likes to play with married couples. The was coined because they are about as rare as unicorns. We are not lifestyle but we did have a unicorn that was a good friend of ours too and the term 'nice shoes' was the lead in for 'wanna fuck' and it was a code word, or an inside joke, depending upon the situation. So there you have it, definitions and his of nice shoes and unicorns.

Being single is not necessary for a lady to qualify for Unicorn status, it is rumored that many of these mythical creatures are married. A few of the qualities that define a true Unicorn are: a/ She should have what many in the general population refer to as flexible, even questionable, morals. No matter your moral type, to enhance your vacation at TTR they can be left in a safe at the front desk to be collected again at check out. Fair warning though, they may have been altered during your stay. b/ Being an incorrigible flirt helps.... big time. Even better, flirting with either sex helps one gain recognition as a potential Unicorn. c/ Item "a" mentioned flexibility regarding morals. Physical flexibility is also a desirable Unicorn trait. Yoga, downward dog, every little bit helps. d/ A fondness, or at least acceptance, of being photographed. An encounter with a Unicorn, for couples fortunate enough to even meet one, is so rare that most prefer to capture the moment. Video works too! e/ A very desirable Unicorn talent is the ability to tie a knot in a cherry stem without using your hands. Google it. It definitely seems that the meaning of Nice Shoes has changed a lot since the BBG days. I like the original meaning, and am not sure about if the resort really wanted to name the current Nice Shoes bar the "Wanna Fuck" bar.
