Exactly! You don't go to TTR for the food or the rooms. We've even gotten to a point to sort of like the oddities of our room (like the slightly rusted light fixtures), small things that just say you're at TTR (it's hard to explain).

 

I'm sorry you felt like you had to change your trip plans after this thread, only to have such a horrible trip!! What a bummer.

Do come to TTR with a group of your buddies and their girlfriends maybe sometime- it will be a blast.

 

So sorry you had to deal with so much "crap" (sorry...just couldn't resist! rangehat at Oasis Cancun, but for what it's worth, I did laugh out loud at your review--thank you for sharing the link!

 

If I was a 29 year old guy having a bachelor party, I'd want to go to a resort where I was. (Did that make sense?)

 

Wow! That's crazy!! Sorry you had that kind of trip! Our group was waiting for you to show up at TTR! Like some other posters said, definitely visit sometime in the future. Lots of fun, even better with other friends of both sexes

At TTR: I personally found the buffet very good. I've eaten at all inclusive resorts where the food was cold and no one ever came out to top the food off. They'd be piled so high that it would seem they'd want people to eat nd get out. Here, the trays weren't even empty and fresh food was coming out. Great deserts, lots of fruit, free wine at lunch / dinner. Towels in the room everyday, even if you didn't need them and lots of beach towels. I hope one day, you will take the chance and come and stay for awhile. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised and have a great holiday. (PS. this was my first time at TTR) :headbanger:
