Jen&Kyle Trip Report...Desire Pearl vs TTR vs Desire Pearl Trip Report

Awww. Thank you for the kind words. If it were up to me (kyle) we would be there in December. I am having enough trouble locking up October with the Mrs Something about 3 kids and all the other trips we have planned already (an out of town pool party in July, Ireland Labor Day weekend as we are penn staters and they have a fball game there). We are 100% going back to Pearl around May 9th 2015 give or take a couple days with people we met this year. The 'party crowd' from the end of the week is going to work hard to plan a full week together. We once went to TTR in feb and it was too cold. Isn't December chilly?

 

We find December to be great!! Not too hot, but never too cold either. More hot than cold if you must.

Maybe you can skip October and by December the wife will want a trip...to tide you over till Pearl again lol:icon_mrgreen:

Interesting. I think you may have to book half TTR and half pearl. Then after the 100th time security tells Travis to put his shorts/pants back on you say 'honey, I have good news for you! Tomorrow you don't have to wear your shorts at all!' Time it so it is after the Boobs Cruise so he can use two days to sleep it off in luxury after breaking another drink record on the cruise

By the way, hope the move to the new place went seamlessly!!!

Okay, so it definitely sounds as though the place is much nicer than TTR. My question is, dollar for dollar is it worth roughly triple the price to go to Desire as opposed to TTR? We love TTR and had a blast there but the rooms, and their condition, left a bit to be desired (no pun intended). Then again, we spent very little time in the room but I would like one that didn't reek of mold and make me sick

 

It is hideously expensive BUT the service is unbelievable, rooms are far superior, no "pot luck" if you'll get a quiet room, or a king bed etc etc

I have noticed that almost everyone (I can think of only one person on here who is the exception and he complains a lot, you know who you are lol) who has actually been and then says it is NOT worth it. Many say it isn't worth it but they haven't actually been and are basing the opinion off of the price tag.

So yes it is worth it at triple the price, 500 something rack rate. Although I booked for October at $333 a night (the basic room which isnt really basic, may upgrade on site) and TTR for $133 a night so it isn't even triple the price. Well worth it.

 

Although I for one would be very interested to know what your final bill was, with all your party "add-ons"! :mnm:
