I have been to Cancun 3 times. Have never stayed at TTR. Have also been a CCC member and contributor for well over a year. Would love to spend sometime at TTR but have some serious concerns. I couldn't care less about the food or quality of the resort rooms or facilities. My problem is that my wife is a little hottie and I am a hot head. I have read that most people have experienced a problem with creepers/groupers. That problem and worrying about it and my reaction to it (and a the thought of a Mexican jail cell) is keeping us away from what appears to be an incredible vacation. Any advise?
WOW? Not sure how to give advise to someone who looks for trouble other than it will find you if you look for it! There are many as you refer to "hottie's" at TTR. Violence out of anger will never solve any issue. If you think this way I hope you stay away from TTR. Drama and thug mentality is not good for the party atmosphere. I would like to be nice and say all will be fine, there's no pervs at TTR. Maybe give your wife handle it as mine does when we are there in a mature manor! If not, Security there will help and are very good when it comes to the safety of guests.
Remember the word "no" and say it right to them as they are walking towards you or trying to dance with your wife. You're a big boy and I'm sure people in the real world also hit on your wife. Take it as a compliment and remember she is there with you and leaving with you. You don't have to be polite to Assholes, just get security. Period. Now your ass is covered. Security is really good.
Security, we noticed last month, has really stepped it up. Let them handle the creepers and problems. Just don't become the problem.
If youre that jealous....you may want to go somewhere else. I mean, we've never had a problem, but instead of getting all jacked up, I consider it a compliment when someone says my wife is hot. Also, being a hothead is a choice, not a disease.
A lot of us guys were raised to be proactive when dealing with creeps. You don't mention your age, but I can tell you in my younger years I would not have been a good fit at TTR. Being on the wrong side of 50, I am wiser and savvy and can resist the urge to dummy a groper. My advice to you is to pick a week, book it and then become a daily CCC reader. Find the roll call for your week. Get to know some ppl on here that will be there at same time. There are some outstanding groups who co-ordinate and return together evrry year. They are masters at identifying creeps and will guard the group. They also won't accept any hooligan into their group! As long as you are respectable, polite and jovial, and don't exhibit 'inappropriate behaviour' the group will have your back. Let the group, and security, deal with creeps. (I don't know you or your personality. . so I have to state a disclaimer.) Don't let this stop you from booking a fabulous vaction for you and your hottie to Temptation,,, UNLESS YOU ARE THE TYPE who goes looking for any reason to have a scrap. If that is the case, then I strongly reccomend you pass on Mecca until you are able to deal with anger issues. When are you thinking of going? (Plz don't say spring break)
Let's face the facts. You know this place is a party right? You have openly admitted your wife is a little hottie and you have also acknowledged that you are a hot head. Now nothing against you because you have more common sense than what you find in most people with the "issues". You have learned who you are. You don't take the Hulk and just throw him onto the Jerry Springer show do you? You seem to be a great guy that can see who he is and find the problem before it starts. However can you do this while being completely inebriated? Is your wife the type that like attention when she is smashed? Think of all of these factors, because no matter what things are exaggerated while drinking as you know. Yes, there are creepers there. Some are just that bad and you want to throat fuck them with your fist at times and others are just stupid drunk and forget their manners and need to be reminded to go sleep it off. Then on your side there are the hot heads. Some are just waiting for the jealous opportunity to throttle someone for looking at their wife admiring the view and there are those that had too much to drink and are overly protective thinking that a guy that put his arm around your wife is trying to take her back to the bedroom and make an uncomfortable scene that is soon forgotten the next day with apologies. Basically from my perspective it is simple, that if you and your wife know each other that well but if you can't control yourselves and understand that you can stick up for each other without "loosing control" then TTR would NOT be the placefor you guys. Everyday, there are people that will look, gawk, compliment you on her or compliment her without you. They will be happy and put arms around you or her. Some will seek permission to flirt other will just do it. If you can't handle the heat stay out of the kitchen. If you can though, hop in and just know that sticking up for your wife is VERY admirable and will be shined upon by others as well if done in the right way. TTR is not suited well for the jealous types though. You will find yourself in more trouble than it is worth and ruin an otherwise happy vacation for yourself and others.
I have to agree with the others. If you go to TTR you should have an understanding that people will stare, gawk, perhaps even touch your woman without your consent. If you were to constantly worry because your a hot head then I don't think you would have fun. We went in April, and there was lots of single guys. One Group of Indian dudes kept following the ladies hoping to watch them kiss. They listened to our conversation and followed us to the pool at 2 am. We had a male female couple take pics of Jen then when we asked them not to the guy called Jen a bitch. Needless to say it didn't ruin our time.
