Bart I was sorry to see the Blues get thumped. I didn't get a chance to see the game, but I understand that Miller was not exactly outstanding. I think you guys have a goalie in the AHL who is an up and coming star, but I really thought Miller would have been able to help the Blues get out of the first round.
Too many injuries at the wrong time of the season. We had our guys back, but none of our stars played like stars. Miller was not the problem, but also did not steal any games either. STL is the place where goalies go to die. Fuhr, Turek, Legace, etc. Miller will sign a huge contract somewhere this off-season. I believe the Blues will go with Jake Allen and Elliott in 14-15.
Who looks hot so far in round 2? Kings look very good in the West along with the Hawks. In the East I think Boston-Montreal could go either way while I don't see the Rangers solving Fleury in the next few games. So far almost all the series have been very entertaining that's for sure!
Woohoo!! My boys are 1/2 way to the Cup. And Sidney the Suck is goin home. Too bad there aren't any more NHL teams in Pennsylvania, for the Rangers to play.
I must admit Marshe that I never thought your prediction might come to pass, but it does appear to be more likely now. I was surprised to see the Rangers blast the Habs and even though LA lost the opener, they seem to be the comeback story of the year so far. It should make for two very interesting series, that's for sure! The TV folks have got to be salivating over the potential for an original six final or a NY/LA or even NY/Chicago final. The ratings should go through the roof on any of the possible final match ups.
I think the play-offs have been very entertaining so far. Maybe bcuz so many original 6 teams are moving on. Not sure, but the games have been good and the reffing has been decent. I agree with you about TV and the NHL drooling over the final possibilties. All originL final or east coast vs west coast. Should continue to be a compelling spring. All hail King Henrik!
