how much money

Hi everyone I have a question for those of you recently traveled to cancun. How much cash did you bring with you? Did you carry all small bills or a mix? just debating in how much I should bring don't want to run out of money but don't want to bring too much. your input is greatly appreciated...thanks

 

I took $260.00 for incidentals and tips. I used it all.

 

Anything left over gets spent on tequila at the duty free shop.

 

A lot! But most time we bring most home. We don't want to use our credit card unless we just absolutely have too.

 

we always take $500.00. We take $300.00 in ones, and the rest in 5s and 10s, and no big bills. Smaller bills always are nice for spending and tips. Every year, we run into people who are out of 1s, because it is their first trip, and didnt know any better.

 

I took $500 last time & made it out with $200 to spare. Boobs Cruise, a few gifts, & some tip money.

Last year we brought $700.. $150 in 2's(tipping money), the rest in whatever! Came home with about $200.. Left all the $2 bills on a four night stay.. Spent more on duty free stuff and the costly sunscreen ! We brought some, Apparently not enough sunscreen! Lol

We were there for 4 nights and took about $250...$100 of which was in ones. The omelette lady looked like I'd made her day when I'd give her $3 each day the wife and I had omelettes made. She was awesome.

 

We took 100.00 in ones and about 600.00 in other bills.. came home with $$$$
