I have not seen any comments on this topic. I guess it is not much if a problem...but is the water on the resort ok to drink? How about the ice in the drinks? Looking forward to the trip and appreciate all the info wr have gathered here. Wish there were some others going the same time as us...nobody on June Roll Call the 19-23rd. Anyone???

There's always lots of bottled water in resort and in the rooms. I've not had a problem with the ice. I will be there 10th to 25th June :)))

Thank you...I see your dates, so we will look forward to seeing you at GOV right? If so, please post your name on the roll call. I have noticed sometimes these threads get mixed with TTR. I am also trying to figure out who will be at GOV when we are there to generate some "THEME NIGHT INTEREST" at GOV. This will be our first and I guess last time at GOV, so we are still figuring it out. No offense to the TTR people, I think we would have fun there as well, but Angie is a little scared of that party(lol!) and with young children at home, we need some "relax" time on vacation which has to be short due to childcare. Maybe someday we can do the 10 - 14 day get away.

There are NO ice machines. You have to get them filled at any of the bars. An inconvenience, sure, but not a big deal for us.

Every time you get a fountain drink, ie , coke, sprite , orange drink, you are drinking 95% tap water and syrop mix.

All veggies and fruit are cleaned with tap water.

    so guess what ...............

Exactly. The water from the tap in the Hotel Zone isn't horrible...and you're ingesting it one way or another. They safeguard that water supply. They have to. Can you imagine the $billions they'd lose of everyone that came there got sick from their water/ice/meals??? No one would ever go back. What you'd want to avoid is going into the central downtown of Cancun and drinking and eating at some taqueria.
