We used Apple our first year going. We got a decent rate however the next year we used orbitz and the price difference between the 2 sites was huge. Orbitz generally has a discount code as well that saves even more. The only thing I liked about Apple was they give you transfer to and from the airport that orbitz doesnt include in their price.
WTFREAK!!!!!!!! WE REALLY need our Raleigh house to SELL SELL SELL so we can book another trip!!! I thought I had a good deal for our May week!!!! ATL may get better flights, though. I think that's considered a more "hub" of an airport than Orlando. You would think Disney would have had something to say about that but I guess they can't affect EVERYTHING in central FL. I wanna go back to TTR!!!!!!!!!!
It's a really long flight from the West Coast - 6hr direct flights, shorter air time to get to Hawaii. If we had 2hr $350 flights like you folks in Florida, Atlanta & Texas have we'd be there every other month for 4-nights. Next time book through SFO, and get a direct flight on United. And yes - Apple V reamed you on those rates. Direct flights in non-busy times average about $600 through United.
Check cheaptickets.com. We got 7 nights, direct flights from LAX in Sept for 1867-couple. Will get to start drinking early with a 6:30am arrival :ernaehrung024:
Prices vary so much between departure cities it is ridiculous (we depart from Minneapolis). The prices have steadily climbed each year when you look at the total package price. We started out saying $1500/couple (7 nights) was a good price. Then $1700/couple was a good price. And now we just booked air and hotel for $1900/couple for 7 nights in August-September. Of course we travel when the hotel rates are lower, so that helps. I see that Temptation is Sold Out for the rest of May on Expedia right now.
I thought we had a great deal for 5 night last month. Our air was 75 bucks each +40,000 miles and the room $1,100.00. When we were checking in, they looked at my wife and back a me and said, "I'm sorry, there is a problem with your reservation, you only made a reservation for one person" That was a bit of a shock. My wife said, you booked our 10 year anniversary trip for just you $ 750 bucks later we had a great room (1116) with a tub. I'll make sure Next April is for two.
We depart from Minneapolis also and we have noticed it opposite from your experience..seems to be getting cheaper than the 2-3 years ago..and we usually fly SunCountry direct
I thought we got a great price on Orbitz 2,499.00 for 2 eight nights non stop flights 2:30 min we arrive at 10am depart 9 days later at 5:30pm. I have not booked USA Transfers yet but plan of course along with at least two boob cruises
