Thanks Based on how many people came up to us/me and said "You're sillyleo, right??!!" and were excited to meet me, nothing's bringing me down lol We ended up not cancelling - we had paid 50% down so they adjusted that for us and are refunding some of the down payment and gave us another referral week We didn't really WANT to cancel - just having tenants destroy BRAND new laminate flooring and then bail on the last month of a lease wasn't really a great combo. Pretty much what I expected! Except before we got there, I was getting worried that I was crazy for thinking we'd have "just add water" party friends but it was totally true!! I was also not expecting the souvenier items in the TTR gift shop to really be so close in prices to Market 28 but they really were and the quality of the mugs especially were a lot nicer (I always get coffee mugs for my mom and they had the PRETTIEST gecko mug at the gift shop that I couldn't find anything comparable at M28 so ended up buying at TTR). Now, toiletries at the TTR shop were RIDICULOUSLY expensive so that's where they make up their money The only thing that I would say was a "complaint" is that I wish the buffet had more expansive hours, especially late night but I can understand from the service staff perspective. I kept meaning to smuggle out some healthier options to put in the room and just kept forgetting :banghead: so next time, I really need to remember to do that! Rome kept calling down for extra water our first two days so that by the second day, this was the conversation: Rome: Hola, dos agua por favor... Desk: 4306? Rome: Si. (hangs up) Me: (having not heard him say the room number) They knew the room number, didn't they? Rome: Yeah. AHAHAHAHAHA! Our housekeeper then started leaving us 5 or 6 bottles!! We would go through every single one! And still get more downstairs sometimes!
I'll just add my details of the trip review to this thread instead of creating a new one. Checked in early; room wasn't ready but we got our bands and suitcases were held in front. (we kept our personal bags on us). We were newbies and we looked like newbies. We wandered for a bit then changed and ended up on the beach. We hung out then Vita found friends, then we got the room which was on the back and faced the street which we could hear, but that was background noise for us. It was humid and brought 2 damprid bags with us which helped, but I can see each additional bag helping more. Will bring 4-6 next time. I did call for water a lot and they brought as much as i wanted which was good. I tipped 20 pesos each time, but we found that dollars were just as welcomed. I did ask what they preferred, and it didnt matter, as long as they didn't get american coins-thats no good there; Vita even had purchased water at the airport in pesos, but they had to give change in American dollars because they didn't have enough pesos in their register! We skipped the Walmart trip and glad we did; even though pricy, the Temptation store had a bit of everything; toiletries; condoms, suntan lotion, condoms, etc. The buffet had a good selection, just note what times it's open and guys keep in mind to keep a shirt with you if hanging by the sexy pool; You'll need it to go into the buffet if you want to grab a bite. Overall the food was good, just keep in mind the time the restaurants and buffet opens and closes. And if near the end of the close of the buffet, there's less to choose from and the grill shuts down a bit early from close. Recommended by the transfers driver 2 places; From the resort to the left, across the street and down a bit, there's a restaurant called quekas that sells pretty good quesadillas, and next to it a taco place. Will have to try that next time. We went to Market 28, but all the stuff was pretty much the same store to store and saw a lot of that in the airport stores. Of course market 28 is cheaper and they had good food. If you need to use the bathroom there, theres one up the stairs for 4 pesos, but theres one bathroom at one of the restaurants and a guy may charge you 2 pesos, but I just looked confused which may have threw him off and he didnt bother me. I would say go at least once. We took the bus which was $1 us dollar but got lost in neighborhood back alleys and ended up taking a cab back for 100 pesos. If you ever do need pesos, you can exchange at the Temptations front desk and the exchange rate is the same anywhere else. It was non-stop party action, after breakfast people start heading to the pool and is just casual fun, music playing and the local games. Vita was doing the guess the tv show theme and won and the host asked what kind of girl was she as she named off, dexter, walking dead, and some other random ones. Pretty funny. People then ramp up to dinner and getting ready for Patty-Os; It never gets old and we never wanted to stop. We had so many friends there, it was great. The Boobs Cruise is a must. It will make people do things they never done before and there's no judgement there. We did the couples massage and not to ruin it for folks, we wouldn't do it again. I'm sure its great for most people but we like deep tissue and not that light touch massage. Everyone was respectful, didn't have any issues with anyone, all the single guy regulars were fun and surprisingly sometimes shy. Even the bachelor party jersey boy looking guys were staying out of trouble. I'm sure those situations are hit and miss. Oh I ate the fruit and drank the water, I was fine lol. I took probiotics and emergen-C and electrolytes everyday, so that may have helped.
So glad you both had a good time !! Now it's almost our time to party :musik026::headbanger: 6 slow ass days to go here's to the clock :aktion052: may you get :lighting1: what you deserve because we're going without you :biggrinbandit::ernaehrung005:
We are hoping to have the same experience. Time is near and we are excited and, maybe, a bit nervous.
Great to meet you all, too! I still laugh about the discussions on the patio on sheer night (I think it was that night anyway )! "What are you guys looking at?" "He's showing me...a...boat...yeah...I like the runners in this picture." (swipe to next picture) "Oh and the headlights on this one." Must have been an AWESOME boat!!!!
You have less than a week to get to 1000 posts, to accomplish it in 4 months!. I think that may be a record. (Not sure, but still super impressive) I am betting on you to do it.
Crap!! I haven't really been posting!!! I've actually been going 24 hours without even looking in the forum a few times!!! I missed that milestone approaching!!!!!! I don't want to reach it with garbage so people better start posting some good stuff!!! Luckily, all my vacation buddies are starting to post their reviews so at least I'll be able to chime in on some of their reviews
LOL Ya U don't wanna break the gino barrier with an asterisk! Hate when ppl pad their count. Make sure all yer posts are 'meaty' lol
All I do know is that I don't see how I can possibly make it 11 1/2 more months to another TTR trip!!!!!! I know time goes fast when your counting down to it - that was proven when we went from over 100 days to single digits - but with little kids that, yes drive me crazy, I don't want to TOTALLY TTR wish their lives away lol So again, TTR gods, PLEASE get that dang Raleigh house to sell so we can do another trip!!!!!!!
