this sucks !!!!! We are going to be there in about 7 days.... we were already planning a return trip for our anniversary !!! I really hope this is just talk and not a done deal.... Closing is scheduled for September. No firm date in September has been announced publicly. So if you are scheduled to go during the summer go and enjoy whatever is left of the resort.
Thats what I thought. It would be nice for them to tell you when they will be closing. We are coming June 3-10.

Yes, it's official. Here's the press release posted on Tripadvisor: Dreams Sand Cancun - Cancun Forum - TripAdvisor I'm sad. If they'd gone all-out on the adult concept, I think this really could have been a beautiful, fun place to go. It sounds like the whole Oasis chain is poorly managed, though. Reports of bad food, unfriendly staff and bumping go back for at least a year for every resort in their chain. The management responds to every review, but never seemed to have actually improved any of those things.
We're out!!! Cancelled the hotel and booked TTR. Would have loved for GOV to make it and be a sexy alternative to TTR. Guess it wasn't meant to be!
We switched to TTR last night. Even if the resort is open in July, being there while they are in the process of renovating/switching over has no appeal for us.
