They should just put no smoking signs up around the bars and at the pools. There's a choice then for both parties. Smokers go to a designated space to smoke and non-smokers don't have to miss out the party because of the 2nd hand element. It's just not socially acceptable these days and all smokers need to acknowledge this. The e-cig is a godsend, and I'm very happy that most non-smokers don't have an issue with them.
its Mexico and that would never happen..Tourists smoke on vacation and always will.. alienating them would affect tourism and Mexico isnt taking that chance..I love laying poolside smoking all day long..its one of the 50 reasons we love Cancun...I also love buying cheap cartons to take home when we leave mexico..saves me a lot of money
Political correctness is killing free will....I agree everyone should be able to come to an understanding.....Smokers know that it is harmful, just as much as a Soldier/Policeman/Firefighter know that what they do is harmful too....Some people just are willing to place there life in harms way for the personal satisfaction that it gives them.....
As a smoker I do my best to not put others in harms way if possible, but when the drinks start going, judgment stops flowing......Cigarettes and Alcohol go together like bikini's and Boob's....
2nd hand smoke is a big deal for non-smokers anywhere outside the U.S., seems like. At TTR, it's usually not a problem at all down on the beach (duh), or around the pool during the day, which strikes me as odd, but it just isn't. At night though.... people seem to not be able to figure out what to do with their hands unless there's s cig in there betwee the fingers. Not smoking it really, but just holding it lit and making its contribution to the atmosphere. I find it weird. You lit it, suck that shit back, dude/chick! Mostly only a "problem" at Nice Shoes during a show, and at Patyo's on a night when there's no wind moving it out...
Pretty sure Nice Shoes is non smoking...don't ever remember it being smoking or is it I am just used to smoking outside. Mind you the smoke generator is brutal
I agree and as a smoker I'm still trying to figure out why I would need to go to a back alley to smoke and miss the things going on around the pool......I didn't realize that I got a discount on my vacation cause I smoke...One of the main reasons I leave the US constantly or go to places smoker friendly.....I really have no problem trying to be curteous to others, but when people want to exclude me because I smoke, then I start to take issue....
I'm actually out of the US right now, setting in my office, smoking a cigarette that I paid $4 a carton for as I type this, while lmao......
