I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks. Read tons of threads and looked at almost every picture posted on here. My wife and I are considering a trip to TTR but still not sure. We are in our early 40's and today is our 10th anniversary. We have been to 2 all inclusive resorts and always end up making new friends and having a great time. Although we have never been anywhere like this we both think it's time to step out of our comfort zone a little. We really don't party at home or "go out" very often. You might say we are kind of reserved in that manner, but in no way are we a stick in the mud. Alcohol brings us out of our shell a little, and I can get a little daring. I guess my question is, if the party scene ends up being to much can you just relax and have a quiet time or is the entire resort one big party? Any other advice or words of wisdom for a couple on the fence?
You won't regret it!!! We are going in June for our 9th trip! There are many repeaters for a reason! I have never seen a resort with so many people that keep going back! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - Angela
You sound just like us. Last year was our first time at TTR and I lurked the board before booking, too. We're already planning to go back this December! You'll have a blast. You will see why people go back year after year! We usually go to nicer resorts and always have fun but this is a diff kind of fun. DO IT ALREADY! :bandit:
If you have been reading for that long, you know about the quiet pool where you can get away from the semi-craziness of the Sexy Pool. The sports bar is good if you just want to have a beer or cocktail and watch sports (mostly soccer) and play pool. The beach is also nice to get away from the noise if don't mind sitting in the sun most of the day.
I think you need to factor what you are looking for. If you are looking for a sexy vibe vacation, from what I've read, for the price, this is the place. The problem I have is with the facility. We don't vacation without kids much at all, and staying at what has the appearance of a Motel 6 with a lousy beach just isn't what we want. If we had done many trips to other places, and didn't feel the facilities were that important then, again it would be Temptation. Another option is to stay at a nicer resort like GOV or Golden Parnassus, where you can still do some crazy, sexy, things, and supplement that with a Boobs Cruise, where they will definitely let you do, well, pretty much anything. No perfect answer for sure. Try'em all if you have the chance.
Restling makes a good point too. It's definitely not the nicest place. If you want spring break, decent food, and a little bit of naughty then this is the perfect place. For the price you can't beat it. If you go there expecting five star, then this will disappoint you. Ideally we would take 1 TTR vacation and 1 nicer vacation each year.

They have added a fresh coat of paint to Cancun's oldest resort and she was shining last week. It is not a five star, but far from a motel 6. You won't find better/ happy staff any where else. You can get food anytime without standing in line at Temptations,( buffet) . Even at the restaurants we never waited more then 5 minutes for a table. Temptations know has a wider range of top shelf booze available to all The nice thing about TTR , is if you discover it is not your cup of tea , they have 3 pools and you can always find a spot in your comfort . The nightly entertainment can get a bit wild , though , no getting around that. It is not for every one, but a lot find it very re kindling for their limbito .
I realized when I made my post that TTR lifers would be offended. The Motel 6 comparison is from what I have read on many, many trip reviews from people that have been there many times. That's why people like say, Jen and Kyle were looking at GOV, because they wanted something nicer. Is GOV nicer? No idea personally. Reviews are definitely mixed. The beach without question is nicer at GOV and Golden. My main objection to TTR, which I only was at while waiting for the Boobs Cruise, was the motel look, and Patio's bar. I know if you put a bunch of hot barely dressed ladies in there then it feels different, but to me, it's more fun to spend my vacation hearing the ocean, and being on the beach at the Tiki bar at the Golden where you can still see boobs coming out without a security guard standing behind you. I wish it was possible to give an opinion on something without starting an argument.
TTR is spotless, the rooms are huge, the minibar is included and always full, the walking showers are another room to have fun in, all rooms have a terrace or a balcony, sexy light in the room and others can be dimmed. TTR is far from Motel 6. Go to Hedo then you will have a big let down with the accommodation!
I went 2 years ago and met a couple friends. I am returning from June 11-17th to meet up with them again. I am also sure I will make more new friends this time. As for your question, Temptations has 3 pool areas. ! a big party, 1 for sports stuff, and 1 quiet one to relax and read a book
