But stop saying we, we, we you don't own the hotel. It's not a club. You are not members. Other people are not your guests. Every is an equal. Nobody has to feel comfortable because the chosen few said its ok.

 

Not sure how to respond to this Mark.. First of all TTR does sell memberships and it is a club. They get perks so everyone is not equal. Some of us get to hang out at the club as guests and make the best of it we can.

Second when you have somewhere around 30-40% of the people at the hotel at any give point in time that are part of your group, I do think we have the ability to either make someone feel comfortable.... or not.

I'm sure their wives/GF's only approve of them going to places where there are women clad in burqa's.

It's an Adults only hotel that allows topless ladies - just like the GOV & Grand Parnassus and many other hotels including ones in Vegas.

We keep forgetting that when you step foot on TTR's grounds an all out orgy happens, oh that right it doesn't, only at Desire - oh that's right it doesn't there either.

You might just be surprised at how much more open minded folks in there 20's are than those in there 50's - especially those who grew up in more socially liberal places like California.

We have been, were open minded , we have seen and experienced what where and who goes there .
If you were not open minded and your husband came home and said Im going to a bachelor party with 10 buddies to a place where theres loads of skin on show , topless girls in abundance , sexy naked poolside games where you can do body shots and lick whipped cream of each other and a cruise where almost anything goes ,oh and the ladies dress like tramps in the evenings to go out in barely there dresses and Lingerie or sometimes even less .Throw all that in with unlimited 24hr alcohol ..

Wow, been 8 times in past 4 years and missed all that... Sure if these guys are expecting adult only hotel with chatty friendly people they won't be disappointed, if they are expecting a free for all orgy....boy are they gonna be disappointed, I been looking for years and never seen it yet. Have seen groups of guys causing bother on numerous occasions, but sadly mostly Brits, sure if the guys are civilised and don't try it on with women they have a good time.

 

I apologize for not answering the questions. I have not had a chance to read the responses the last day or so as I am in Yosemite,CA and have limited access to wifi. I will do so upon my return. I didn't hve any expectations. But I did just want to get some sort of idea with the atmosphere and vibe.

Thank you to everyone that responded. This is no trick and I was not playing a prank. My friends are trying to switch to a different resort based on reading the thread responses but some of them bought the groupon and we are not sure if groupon will refund them. Any suggestions besides oasis? We just want somewhere fun with good food and a friendly vibe- not looking for a 4 day orgy lol- nor was that anyone's expectation in the group. I am at the point I just want nice accommodations, a nice pool, and beach access if possible to bask in the sun with a tropical drink in hand.

 

If we do not cancel. I will be sure to let everyone know - regardless I speak for my group in saying while we will practice great respect - we also don't want to be under a microscope on a weekend where it should be more about our groom to be then our group itself.

Joel, I hope you and your group of friends have a great time wherever you land! You honestly sound so much like my son and his group of friends. You are about the same age, educated, intelligent, and respectful...but still enjoy having a great time and living life to the fullest! I could see my son making the same plans and handling this in much the same manner as you have....very admirably. OH, and his wife would be fine with him going with his buddies, because she knows him and trusts him.

Give the groom our wishes for a very long and happy marriage. My husband and I are celebrating our 28th anniversary today, but the real celebration will be May 8th when we leave for TTR! Best of luck (and by the way, most of us are really nice and very normal people!). Take care.
